Hi,

I was thinking about some advice I read and wanted to see if others have had a different experience.

I have Reta 50 coming, and I think it’ll take me about 2.5 months to get through a vial (5 mg per week).

I wanted to preload 5 syringes (25 mg total) and freeze them to use after the first 25 mg are done.

The goal would be to keep the potency as strong as possible. Is anyone else doing this and happy with the results?

*They would be frozen after constituted for just over a month.

Freezing after reconstitution will do more damage to your peptides than just letting them age. The big concern with keeping peptides around for longer periods of time is potential bacterial growth not that they lose potency.

Jano has tested freezing tirz and it was largely fine. Other peptides have seen significant impact.

I don't know if reta has been tested, but without having specific knowledge, I'd personally opt to not freeze it.

Not reconstituted though.... run that vial in the fridge. Most of us have done 6 to 8 weeks, some 90 days. I wouldn't freeze reconstituted slin pins.

Quick question, I may be showing my newness here, but what is the difference between freezing reconstituted vials and compounded vials? I’ve seen many say that it’s ok to freeze compounded vials, but is there an inherit different between them and reconstituted vials that wouldn’t allow them to be frozen?

Edit: This is specifically about Tirz but my question still applies. Can reconstituted Tirz vials be frozen like compounded vials?

I have thought of something similar, but my take is reconstituting with a sterile water solution at 50% of water volume desired, splitting it into multiple vials and freezing them. Then I would just thaw, and inject the other 50% of BAC water and stick it in the fridge for 1 month max.

Most of them use other ingredients that isn't bac water as perservatives; and it's still not recommended.

Compounded is liquid? Everything I swallow and regurgitate says powder can and needs to be frozen if not used in 3 months and liquid shouldn't be frozen. Initially we thought frozen powdered are good for 3 years but read a test with tirzepatide in a dedicated freezer ( not opened and closed 8 times a day) is good for 10 years or better. We hope it's every pep but tirzepatide is apparently the cockroach of glp1's. Really hoping the other shit is good for 3 to 5 years at least....

This would make sense! Thank you. I should be placing a gray order way before I use all my compounded vials, in case there’s any degradation from freezing. From what I’ve seen though, many people have said it’s been fine.

Yea compounded is what you buy from the telehealth companies. They usually mix like B6 with it and apparently also preservatives. The tirzepatidecompound subreddit is full of people that purchase stockpiles of compounded vials and freeze them for later use.

Maybe the additives preserve it like benzoyl alcohol in steroids is 2% minimum or better where bac water is .9%.... no experience with compounded.

I suppose that makes sense as there should still be a vacuum from compounded vials? I’m actually not even sure if that’s true.

I bought a “3 month supply” and immediately found this place so it will soon be useless knowledge lol.

This would be an interesting test!

Look at the bright side, now you'll get 3 times as much for a third of the price....

I did the same thing. I'm still working my way through my Brello supply, even though I gave one of the vials to a girlfriend who's low on cash and wanted to try it but didn't want it bad enough to drop five hundred bucks on it. I've got nine years' worth in my freezer, I can afford to part with a 22mg vial. I also grabbed the two Good Life 75mg vials before I got here, so I'm set for a long time before I even crack into my stash.

I preserve starter yeast for my brewing hobby by mixing it 50/50 with sterilized glycerin. Somehow it stops the freeze thaw cycle from bursting the cells… I wonder how injecting glycerin would feel and if that would somehow protect the peptides better…

I went with Brello too! Plan to stretch it as far as I can but will start my stash before the end of the year for sure.

I just purchased my first pen so thinking about throwing a Brello vial in it when I’m finished with my current one.

I have 34 weeks left at my current dosage, between the Brello and the Good Life and Lumi vials. But there's another 198mg in Brello vials put aside from an arrangement I have with my friend; I hold them, and she pays for them as she takes them. If she uses them all, then I'll get back the 500 I paid for them as she buys them one at a time. If she decides it's not right for her, I'll use whatever's left. So it might be a year before I start what I have in the freezer. I'm not doing pens while I've got the 22mg vials, but will switch to them when I go to the 75mg ones, just to keep them airless.

That’s a pretty sweet deal! I was eager to try out a pen so we’ll see how it goes.

Just curious, do you have any of your compounded vials frozen?

Not yet. I'm strongly considering it, though. Not the single Brello vial I have left, and not my friend's stash unless she calls it quits. But the two Olympia ones, I'm thinking I should. I go back and forth; everybody says they're good long past the BUD if they're not punctured, but I'm not really sure what the better call is.

I went ahead and just chucked mine in there. I think I’ve seen on Reddit someone saying that they had frozen some for a year and it was all good. Once I get to that point, I might make a post about it.

Not a lot of compounded info here, and not sure anyone will care, but might help someone making the switch like I am.
