This is so rough, have been through so much and just wanting to lose some weight. Having a massive acne outbreak at 32 and only taking reta 4mg weekly after titration, infected tooth and severely dry and sore skin. No idea why my skin is this way since starting reta and I drink water and hydration tablets.

Anyone have any advice or want to have a chat about what is happening with you also ?

You could be having a side effect from the reta callded allodynia or dysesthesia. It happened to me after taking an extra dose mid week when I thought it wasn't working. As for your acne, I guess KPV or GHKcu would help. Other than that, some of these reactions or processes is just part of the research game. Wish there was more to offer.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I can’t speak to the infection or acne, but skin sensitivity is a common side effect. Some people just experience it much more severely than others.

That said, reta is not the be-all and end-all. I had severe side effects myself and eventually decided to quit after six months because it just wasn’t worth it. There are other GLP-1 options you can try, like tirz.

Right? I am having nice success with Tirz...I have a pile of Reta just to have it, but have never tried it...

You can find several testimonies about this on r/RetatrutideWomen (there seems to be less BS on this subreddit than elsewhere).

It seems that Reta alters the balance of sex hormones such as testosterone (which is also produced by the adrenal cortex) or estrogens. It's worth having them tested.

It can also stem from a "simple" vitamin A deficiency. The problem is easy to fix.

It is also possible that it exacerbates a food intolerance that had previously gone unnoticed.

Supplement, electrolytes, have sweets on hand for a quick blood sugar spike if energy is really low, but most importantly, give it time. Personally I acclimated to the sides pretty quickly, like 2 months in and no sides at 6mg. I introduced 1.5mg tirz weekly for hunger.
