I am on Reta and love it, my husband is glp curious but his big complaint is inflammation - he gets very swollen ankles and elbows sometimes and a touch of the gout. Do we think tirz or reta would be a better bet for him to start on? I generally think Reta is king for all but I've read a few things about tirz being better for arthritis. He's never taken any peps before. I have both tirz and reta on hand, was thinking I'd also order some glow and maybe tesa but at this time he's only willing to take one thing. He's 50m/220lbs. Thanks for your help!

I can only speak from experience on Tirz. I have been on for 1 year. Went hard stop at 10mg. I lost 75 pounds. I did notice a marked increase in pain reduction from old injuries and did for sure drop water weight and inflammation.

I have also done two 12 week rounds of Tesa at 1.5 mg daily. Each time I actually had pretty significant water retention. I gained 2-3 pounds each time. My vote would be to avoid this.

If he just runs Tirz, im.pretty confident he will see an improvement. One of my friends very recently started based on my experiences. He also said he had a reduction in pain and inflammation

the glow was more for me, I'm a middle aged lady and my face is sagging.
I'm a middle aged saggy man.... I like the tb500 for sciatica, shot discs, fatty liver, etc... I'm afraid of glow right now till I research it. Isn't it like copper overload and you must take other stuff to counter it?

I personally only have experience with zepbound, I'm here because insurance won't be covering it going forward but I can tell you that tirz really seems to help with inflammation, I'm currently waiting to get a full hip replacement and my dr fought for me to get zep to help lose weight and give my hip a break. Now that it's not covered I can definitely feel the hip issues more so I'm confident saying it helped.

I'll have to look into tb500, I honestly just keep hearing of Klow/Glow and it sounded cool. Which is possibly not the best way to choose injectables.

I had years of joint inflammation and used to get severe gout attacks. I used to have to take daily Uloric. I changed my diet, but that only went so far and it was still usual for me to get a yearly attack where I needed to take Prednisone. When I started Reta, my joints actually felt under attack and I thought, "Here we go again", but I kept going because dealing with my weight was more important to me. I was quite happy when the swelling went away by the end of week 2. Since then, I've not had any inflammation at all and I haven't needed any medication for it, either. So it's been almost 4 months now and zero issues. This past week, I've also started KPV which is supposed to be very antiinflammatory and my joints are doing great. Hope that helps with Hubby.

I've been taking more prednisone than I should. Usually get numb fingers and sciatica once every 3 months. Lately it's been daily and I run 5 days of pred, no issues then 3 days later it comes back. Only at 2 weeks of tb500 hoping it helps or off to the spinal spc with high deductibles, CO pays and my 20% of inflated bills.

I hate Prednisone and I love Prednisone. When it works, it works great, but it makes me hungry and ornery, or Hangry. The sides are no joke, either. I had a lengthy bout of sciatica last year and my doc suggested Gabapentin. I read that constant usage can cause an increased chance of Alzheimers, but the study said it was because of long term use and the average refills was 11+. So, after spending hundreds on a chiropractor that did nothing for me, I started Gaba and it worked within a week. I keep some because it has flared up a couple times since, but I'm still on refill #2, so I'm good. Sciatica truly and completely sucks, so I feel you.

When it was worse, my favorite nightly combo (prescribed) was low-dose gabapentin, low-dose Cymbalta (duloxetine), and 15 mg of meloxicam.

Mix the tirz and KLOW together?

Nah. Its fine. I use KLOW in 80mg vials. Mixed with 3mL my dose is 2.75mg (10 units) and I take it daily until the cartridge is gone. Sometimes I skip days, but no big deal in my opinion. Then I take a couple of weeks off.

As for taking too much copper, while the dose I take is nearly double the recommended daily amount .. our bodies will generally get rid of any excess on its own. It will only be a problem if your body has a problem in that department. Generally that is a liver function issue.
