From my research...it seems that the 30mg vials of tirzepatide are the most popular. Why is this? Is there another dose that is better?

It's likely based on the doses per bottle. If you are on 5mg/week, that is 6 weeks to a bottle (a little over the 28 day "recommendation" that floats around but not months long). 7.5mg/week, is 4 weeks per bottle (there is your 28 days). 10mg = 3 weeks and 12.5mg (about 2.4 weeks) and 15mg=2 weeks. Since many people are between 5-10mg for a while, it makes sense to stay in the T30 range. Once you get into the 12.5mg+ range, makes more sense to bump up to a higher content vial T40 or T60.

If you started on say T60, you'd be at 12,8,6,5 and 4 weeks, respectively, per bottle. Some people aren't comfortable going more than 4 or maybe 6 weeks on a bottle.

Yeah, 30mg just maths better for me for tirz...I have reta in 20mg for the same mathing reasons...ymmv

I like 40 and 60 because my laziness knows no bounds and I don't wanna have to reconstitute as often. (Though, as others have said YRMV based on your dosage)

60 mg is less expensive. I am at 10mg a week which if I use the first dose on the day I reconstitute means I would use the last dose 35 days after reconstituting. Truthfully I think the 28 day rule is bullshit. We are reconstituting with BAC water which is a preservative. I think the vials would have full efficacy for many weeks. I thought about the 120 mg vials but figured that might be pushing it a little although probably not tbh.

My observation after a few weeks on this forum is that we (myself included) tend to overthink things a little 😂. But that is part of what makes it fun so I hope we never stop.

So now Im wondering do most people end up on the max does of 15mg for Tirzepatide? Or somewhere around 7.5 and 10? Thanks folks!

Everyone is different and reacts differently to doses. I could barely keep anything down when I was on 2.5mg, so I stayed there for months while losing about a pound a week. I moved up to 5mg about a month ago and plan to stay here for at least a few months. You may have a completely different experience and need to move up every 4 weeks. T30 are much easier to find testing groups for, so even on my original low dose I would buy T30s and just throw it out after 6 weeks. It was still cheaper when I included the lower cost of group testing. Now I am it all and am glad I have the T30s.

Totally agree. With most of the stuff I've read, I'm comfortable around the 90 day mark. In that instance, I could run 2.5mg/week from a T30 and I'd be at 84 days.

Currently running Reta 1.5mg every 3 days (just bumped up from 1mg), using R20 vials. That means a vial should last me 40 days. Also, easy to load into a pen (20+2ml=1mg/10iu). I have an order of R30 on the way, that at the current dose would last 60 days (still fine for me). Assuming I need to bump up by the time I finish my R20s, I'm still good and won't need to be reconstituting more than every month or 2.

Everyone just needs to find the balance of cost, time and comfort for them.

Well, IMO all vials are popular, but I think it's related to dosing and storage.

It's generally recommended to keep a reconstituted vial for about a month due to sterility and degradation.

At a max clinical dosage of 15mg, a 60mg vial basically lasts around month, but at a dosage of 7.5mg it's almost two months.

On the flip side, vials with smaller amounts won't last much. Again, assuming a dosage of 7.5mg, 10-12mg vials are only enough for one total dosage while 24mg lasts you only 3 weeks.

See what I'm getting at? 30mg is like that sweet spot for low and medium dosages where if you reconstitute the vial, it won't last TOO long or TOO little.

Of course, it all depends on dosages. Someone at 10mg weekly is better of with 60mg. Moreover, many people keep vials up to 3 months, so something even higher like 100mg or 120mg is fine for them.

There's plenty of factors to this. The biggest are how your body reacts and time.

Everyone reacts different to Tirz, some people feel hunger suppression at really low dosages while some have to titrate up quickly. Depending on this and how long you're on Tirz, you might end up reaching that max dosa or not.

Same with me, only worse. I couldn't even stay on 2.5 for more than 2 weeks and went down to 1.5. At 6 weeks, I can still barely eat enough to stay alive.
