Started on tirzepatide at 2.5 mg one dose per week back in August and have gradually worked my way up to 5.0 mg in one injection weekly. I am an old fart and have to get up to pee 2 to 3 times nightly. (I've had a TURP.) In the past, most nights I would go right back to sieep. Some nights I find it difficult to go back to sleep. Recently, since I started tirz, it seems like most nights I have difficulty going back to speep after I get up. I am very interested in whether tirz has affected the sleep patterns of other people taking tirz. Do you have any suggestions for me? Because insomnia is a long running problem for me I do all the standard stuff: sleep in a darkened room, no tv in bed ever, quiet time before bed, etc. However, as I said, my sleep issues seem to have gotten worse since I started tirz. I would appreciate your feedback and suggestions! Thanks

Most people get a slight resting heart rate increase on glp1s. I've never heard of it messing with sleep but if you're already borderline.
On another note, you titrated to 5mg pretty quick. Was 2.5mg not working for you anymore? Did you try 3mg and 4mg?

I had trouble too on tirz, with sleep, it happens for at lot of people, for me it just resolved itself with time. 🙂
It's a good idea to eat some protein rich before bed, because your blodsugar can drop around 3am and wake you up, and cortisol hormone wakes up around 3 am, to get bloodsugar up, so cortisol can also play a role.

Its is one of the side affects if you read about it, I have had problems with sleep when I started Tirz, but now its not great but atleast I get 7 hours and wake up once sometimes twice to pee.
