I would think that if UPS was in possession of the package before they lost it, UPS will have to replace or refund you somehow. Did you speak to anyone?
Unless it's insured, the maximum claim (liability) amount for UPS still seems to be only $100. But UPS is very good for tracing packages compared to USPS. I would be very hopeful still. The sender/seller is normally the one to request the trace.
Also, there has been a slowdown recently with shipping times due to previous storms like tornados in some parts of the country.
Just an update, in case someone searches and has the same UPS message as I had. I did contact the vendor who was very responsive. UPS had issues, (Tuesday) it at first wasn’t loaded on the truck. Then they forgot to deliver it (Wednesday). So I rerouted it to an UPS pickup location (Wednesday evening)- (Thursday) pkg redirected. then it said pkg could not be delivered to ups location- that was Friday. Then Saturday/Sunday they don’t deliver unless it’s priority. Monday holiday. Finally received my pkg on Tuesday at my home despite being told by ups it was supposed to be delivered to the ups access point location also worth noting is that my local ups center no longer has counter service so I couldn’t even pick up my pkg. Wow that was such a nightmare!!! I usually don’t have issues. But my re-rerouting definitely delayed my pkg along with the holiday weekend.
