Vitamin Supps

I take vitamins, knowing fully well I do not need them (I have bloodwork to prove it), because taking the vitamins is part of the process.
While individuals might not need added vitamins most obese people do .. even before we factor in anything we might be doing in our attempts to lose weight. Studies have shown that 50-60% of obese people are malnourished in some way. One study that I read said that 90% of Americans had a vitamin D deficiency. With a number like that I can only assume they tested in the winter.

Here's the supplements I tske.

Anybody have experience with taking iron or brand recommendations that aren't from AI? I have none, because my diet has always been fairly beef heavy. The GLP-1's got me mostly wanting tofu and beans as my protein source, and there is nothing that's iron-rich that I particularly want to eat significantly more of. I am normal-weight and very, very cold. Not "tee hee I'm so skinny now I'm always colllld say it's cause I'm so skinny" cold, I mean wrapped in an electric blanket on a teams call and still cold.
I've been using Thorne Iron Bisglycinate - 25 mg Iron Supplement for years. Like you, I get crazy cold and my iron is always just at the bottom edge of the normal range when I get blood work. This also means I'm borderline anemic, so making sure I take iron regularly is important, thus it's one of the few supps I take daily. I like this one because Thorne does a lot of third party testing, and this particular iron supp is gentle on the stomach for easy absorption.

Thank you! I will order myself some. I was just gonna pick whatever was well-reviewed on Amazon, but I felt like that probably wasn't the best way.

I have a 2 week tray and spend about 10min every 2 weeks getting them all set up. Then I mix a small glass of electrolytes with my methylene blue and take an ungodly handful of pills with it every day.
Yeah, I started using a similar, but smaller pill box, but then stopped, cause I can't keep them out in the open. When I don't have the AC on during the day (being at work, for example), the temp indoors could reach 28 °C during the hot season here (Hong Kong). And if I put them in the fridge, I forget to take them anyway!

I just assumed I would need a nutritional supplement after starting reta, so I'm taking one of those fruits and veggies capsules from Amazon, a light(barely meets daily) b-complex, vit. D, a huge calcium/zinc/magnesium tab, beetroot, l-arginine tab, pygeum, NAC, citrulline, and a couple other magnesiums as necessary(lol), and a little powdered carnititine and creatine in my protein shakes.

What vitamin supplement y'all taking while on Reta? Also, I need a grey vendor for freaking electrolytes. That sh*t's getting expensive lol
I bought the Kirkland daily adult multivitamin from Costco pretty packed with a bunch of vitamins, I don’t remember the cost tho but it’s a pretty chunky bottle should last me a while.

I’ve been keeping it pretty simple:
– Omega‑3 fish oil
– Vitamin D3 + K2
– NAC
– Zinc
– Milk thistle

Figure it helps a bit with inflammation, liver support and general health while on Reta, on top of trying to keep protein high and labs in a good range.

I use a liquid multivitamin, fish oil gummies & magnesium daily, Vitamin D weekly and sometimes potassium, BCAA, Vitamin B complex, grass-fed beef liver, sea kelp iodine, boron.
I make my own hydration drink by putting magnesium and potassium powder in Powerade zero but lately I have been buying Prime Hydration because I like their flavors.
I put collagen peptide in my protein shake every other day.
I am bad at eating healthy so try to get what I can from supplements.

I'm taking a multivitamin for men daily of a famous brand here in Italy. Hope it helps.

The only supplement I am taking that is aimed at helping with weight loss is oleoylethanolamide or OEA at 250mg a day.

Thanx for that little gem mate 😉 I was not aware of that supp, interesting reading on it over the last few days.

Out of interest, are you also taking it with olive oil or perhaps , something along the lines of CSIRO’s Super High Oleic (SHO) safflower oil ?

That stuff is on the shelves at Woolies for almost nothing. A 15ml shot taken with the OEA half hour before a meal provides maximum bioavailability.

I've ordered some OEA and will get the Super High Oleic (SHO) safflower oil . It may be a good supplement for when I can't take GLPs when traveling .
