Wait… rank up and I almost had a heart attack

From reading the Forum Rules I gather -- help out when you can, stay active, and be respectful.
It’s easier for talkative people, but if you're shy or quiet, it can mean pushing yourself harder to join in; therefore it takes longer.
I agree.
A lot of people are more reserved and prefer to just read at first, but it gets easier with time.

It’s perfect 🫶
You picked one of the most important words already, add “espresso” and “gelato” and we’ve got a proper Italian dinner!
I honestly don't care for either, but I get the culture differences.

Fair enough, cultural differences keep things interesting, lucky me, I’d save money on your dinner 🤣

I just got promoted from Apprentice to Enthusiast. Absolutely nobody warned me…

You know that split second when you notice it and your brain goes, “Wait…WHAT?”
A full dramatic meltdown almost happened, but I handled it with my usual level of dignity, which is to say: none.

No time to prepare, no speech ready, zero confetti cannons, and absolutely no chance to organize the extravagant, over‑the‑top celebration you all clearly deserved, but… I’ll take it. 🎉

Seriously though, thank you so much to the moderators and everyone here for being so kind, patient, and endlessly generous with your knowledge. I’m learning a ton from all of you.

Still translating half the forum… but hey, I made it.

And yes, I’ll continue pretending I know and understand far more than I actually do.

I’ve been in the grey world for years, finally joined this forum about 6 months ago. It’s the least visited of my memberships and I’m still listed as recently joined, and have to have my posts approved. Annoying, but I guess I don’t participate enough for the mods…which I don’t lol.

Woah, this one didn’t have to be approved. Moving on up.

I don't know what those are. Sounds like I need to get out more, or maybe hit a Starbucks,
NEVER a Starbucks. They don't even know what coffee means.

Caffè macchiato is like a cappuccino (which is the breakfast of champions), but with only the tiniest bit of frothy milk. Gelati is the plural of gelato...more is better!!!

Congratulations!!! I see you joined early this year, hopefully I will be able to reach your status in few months!!

Wahoo! I’ll get there someday, maybe. Funny thing is that the first time I researched peptides was over 10 years ago. Now I’m back and starting fresh right here. Hopefully this forum stays around a long time. The one I started on long ago is no longer around.

I understand, that can feel a bit annoying sometimes.
Based on the rules, participation is part of how things work here and applies to everyone, so it probably just takes a bit of time.
Hopefully it gets easier with time 🤗

I know a good steak house here, and not cheap. 😁
If the steak is really that good, I might not save after all 😂
I’ll return the favor with authentic white truffle spaghetti, from Alba, of course.

As an Italian, I have to agree with the “NEVER Starbucks” rule 😄
And those “Italian gelato” signs should honestly be illegal, the stuff tastes like sweetened drywall, and 99.9% of the time it’s about as Italian as a microwave burrito. 😂

Thank you!!
I’m sure you’ll definitely get there, it just takes some patience, interest, and participation.

Wow, that’s a long time ago — you were ahead of the curve.
Starting fresh can actually be a good thing I’m sure you’ll get there with time and participation.

And honestly, this forum feels like one of the most solid and reliable places around… so let’s all just agree it’s staying forever and not even discuss other scenarios 😂

No worries. I've never been to one and likely never will. Seems like a yuppy place to me.

True, but I feel like there is definitely a vibe here.

Advice I'd give to folks would be probably don't mention covid/chronic illness as much until you are established. I definitely feel iced out by a certain group of members here.
Why would a group of people ice out members for mentioning chronic illness? (curious)

I just think there are a lot of people not interested in hearing or seeing about chronic illnesses because they are here for other reasons. No shade, but some people really don't understand or have weird ideas about health. I personally know people in real life that shutdown anytime they hear about COVID because it was such a stressful period in their life and they think they were cheated out of time/freedoms because they were not personally affected for instance.

I am not here to stand on a soapbox or anything. I understand it can be hard to take people seriously when you cannot relate.
