When that happened to me, I was worried I was going to get flagged for 'post whoring' because I genuinely just like engaging with folks, lol. Once I am in the forum mode of a hobby/interest, I'm all in.

You know that split second when you notice it and your brain goes, “Wait…WHAT?”
A full dramatic meltdown almost happened, but I handled it with my usual level of dignity, which is to say: none.

No time to prepare, no speech ready, zero confetti cannons, and absolutely no chance to organize the extravagant, over‑the‑top celebration you all clearly deserved, but… I’ll take it. 🎉

Seriously though, thank you so much to the moderators and everyone here for being so kind, patient, and endlessly generous with your knowledge. I’m learning a ton from all of you.

True, but I feel like there is definitely a vibe here.

Advice I'd give to folks would be probably don't mention covid/chronic illness as much until you are established. I definitely feel iced out by a certain group of members here.

Fwiw I specifically look for your comments, Hotlongs, because you talk about it. Chronic illness is what got me here and your contributions to the boards have made me feel like I'm in the right place!
