I am trying to recon cagri with AA, but I seem to keep messing it up. I have tried adding AA to cagri that was already reconned with hospira and it turned cloudy. I have tried adding the AA first, then the bac, and it also turned cloudy and did not completely dissolve. Lastly, I tried drawing up 0.5AA and then 2.5 hospira in a single syringe and injecting that into cagri and that also turned cloudy and didn't fully dissolve. It's just fine when its hospira only, but I am trying to be as safe as possible with the whole fibrils thing.

ETA. I have gone through 3 vials.

Have you tested the pH of the solution? Thats what i would start with. First start with hospira and test pH. Then add small amounts of AA until a pH of around 4. You have to test pH. Sometimes hospira only can already be at pH of 5 without anything and youll only need a small amount of AA.

I personally use my vial within a week and dont see any gelling or cloudiness or anything particularly noteworthy so I stopped with the whole AA thing. If you I used a vial over a month I would probably take more precaution.

Haven't tested the ph yet, will start with that. I am intending to use about a vial month.

I only use bac and it is fine. Hospira ph is 5.7. I Have been doing just bac for over a year now.

Maybe try a different brand of AA? I got 0.6% from amazon and just whipped up a 50%aa/50% BAC vial yesterday that is crystal clear. And I just went to amazon to link you to the one I purchased and it looks like all the 'pharmacy grade' AA has been removed so that is a bummer. I'd still try sourcing a different AA as that seems to be the problem.

Same here. I'm only on my first vial, but it reconstituted just fine with Hospira. Nexaph 10mg to 3ml Hospira.
