What dose Tirz or Reta did you start noticing real weight loss & changes? Was it right away or did it take time when you titrated up to a certain dose?

Also, those that stack both, do you think of it as 2 separate or combine as considered taking x dose GLP a week?

Started 1mg Tirz & .5 Reta *after 2 weeks was already stacking). Just started my 9th week & up to 3.5 Tirz & going to be 2mg up from 1.5mg Reta in a couple days.

This will be 5.5mg total a week. Is this still considered low? Since the start of this month (even with going up) I've only lost 2.6lbs. Total so far 12.6lbs. I know everyone is different but seeing such high losses makes me feel a bit disappointed. I'm not close to goal weight I started needing to lose 51lbs & still have about 40 to go.

I have my diet down, get enough protein, try to drink enough water.

For me, at 2.5 it literally shut my appetite down within a couple hours. I did titrate up to 5 eventually, but looking back, I honestly don't think it was necessary. Now, for my sister, she didn't get much of an appetite suppression until it built up in her system a bit and that took about 3 weeks at 2.5. My other friend, no appetite suppression until she hit 5mg...so many variables.

I’m a particular case, as I have never been able to titrate up aggressively due to the risk of gastroparesis.
I am now at month six and around 3 mg of Tirz, and I have lost about 30 lbs overall, roughly 1 lb per week on average, including some stalls.
That said, I would actually consider your progress reasonable.
A slower pace can also be beneficial, particularly when it comes to skin quality and minimizing loose skin.

Beyond the usual “everyone is different”, there are a few things I would really look at:
  • Not just protein, but total intake and what you are actually eating. Undereating can absolutely slow things down (it did for me), but so can eating in a way that is too restrictive or not very balanced.
  • Overall daily movement, not only workouts.
  • Water retention masking fat loss, especially with dose changes and stacking.
  • How well your body is tolerating the current doses, pushing higher does not always translate into better results.
Also, stacking Tirz and Reta does not necessarily behave like a simple combined dose, the response can be less predictable.
If anything, I would focus more on how your body is responding overall (especially in terms of water retention) and consider moving up once you are truly stabilized.

Of course, these factors may matter less for someone with a naturally efficient metabolism who can lose weight simply by eating less.
But when there is already some resistance or a slower response, they become essential.

Tirz and Reta can help a lot, they are incredibly effective, but they cannot compensate for everything on their own.
I am sure that even if your progress is a bit slower, you will be very happy with the outcome of your journey.

30lbs loss is Amazing!!

Thank you, I am a particular case too!! I have been going up slowly to make sure & (knock on wood) haven't had any sides (hopefully I didn't just put my foot in my mouth!!)

I didn't have an appetite before starting. I just couldn't lose weight no matter what & that was between 900-1100cal. So I definitely don't have an efficient metabolism, ha ha. Reta actually gave me an appetite which I didn't have before (hopefully turning something on). But I have really good self control with food & sugar cravings are mostly gone.

Like you mentioned I think my prob might be under eating. I'm trying to get 1200 a day. Have a protein shake + collagen & flax seeds as dessert for the cal, some sweetness + the protein & fiber. I do eat whole foods & we cook most of what we eat at home.

I do exercise on & off bc I do have some pain issues. Tirz has helped, was going to switch to Reta, but as soon as I stopped it came back just as bad again, so that is a non weight progress I am really happy with too!!

That's great & not a high dose!! I didn't have an appetite since before. I just couldn't lose no matter what (even tried phentermine, etc also). It just gets discouraging when you hear people losing 10-12+ lbs a month & took me over 2, now the past 3 weeks just a bit over 2lbs loss. I know its better than before so I need to be thankful for that!! 🙂

Very different for e everybody. Over 2mg and it wrecks my sleep and I can only drink shakes. 1-1.5mg is now my usual. Yet some people feel very little until twice my max.

Reta has worked for me since day one. This is the first week since 1/5 that I haven't lost any weight
What dose are you up to? Sure you will start losing again!! 🙂

You dont need to wonder about that. There are clear studies RCTs that will point you to what weight loss you should expect at different doses. For tirz, the maximal dose/reward dosage seems to be 10mg/week. 15mg just gives you a few percentage points more over a year of use. For reta it seems to be 8mg where the weight loss really kicks in. Below that you are using subclinical dosages. For healthy weighted individuals needing to shed 2% BF sure that could be enough to just get a little more control on weight but not if you need to loose 15-20% BF.

Wow you're a super responder like my husband! Hes still on 1mg. Im going to try 2mg this week. Hope it increases my loss without keeping me up!! You're lucky to respond so well at such a low dose 🙂

Definitely not a healthy weight, ha ha. Started with over 50lbs to loose now about 40lbs, so a long way to go. 8mg seems high. I hope I can increase without sides!! Everyone reacts differently though

I started 5mg this week. I think it might be because I took creatine last week and I forgot that it makes your muscles retain water.
Yes it can definitely make you retain. Also different times of month, etc. Next week will be more to make up for it 🙂

Well thats what the data shows. Very little difference between 8mg and 12mg for reta. With tirz i had NO side effects, none. I actually felt better on it because i wasnt raving for food. With reta i got skin sensitivity issues at 8mg. Becauee of that I opted for tirz and couldnt be happier. Down 60lbs in a year on 10mg.

I immediately felt it, like within 30 minutes of pinning for the first time, on my 2.2 mg starting dose of tirz (compounded hence the weird dosing). Food noise cleared and appetite went waaay down. I titrated up to 4.4 mg and intend to stay here as long as it keeps working as well as it is now. I am tracking CICO along with it as I was already doing that before the peps. If anything it's working too well as I'm struggling to get to a bare minimum of calories many days! The weight is falling off me. Amazing stuff.

Congratulations!! 60lbs is Amazing!! I didn't reach 3mg yet. Been working my way up & will stop when I'm getting better results. I just don't want to lose sleep or other issues. Im actually sleeping better than I was before starting both. Tirz really has helped me with pain. Not 100% but so much better!!

Nice, so happy its falling off you!! Hope you reach whatever goal you have in mind soon 🙂 I didn't have an appetite before starting & I don't think about eating but trying to eat enough. I think eating too low calories for so long wasn't good for me

I have been stacking Reta, cjc/ipa and glow. I have seen significant recovery in injuries and I can lift more weight in my gym session. Been awesome. Unfortunately I have not seen weight loss with Reta at all after 6 weeks or skin condition improving from the glow. I am assuming cjc/ipa and glow have been helping my strength training.

Maybe you have been gaining more muscle from the heavier lifting that negates the weight loss? Have you been eating carbs? Some people need them to lose with reta

0.250mg, tirz

appetite suppression came on within the following hours after inj., circulatory and/or nerve issues being resolved within the following day or two.

Thank you, but at your current pace, you will definitely surpass my 30 lbs in six months!!
I think we are twins in every aspect, including exercise.

Eating 900/1000 for a while without losing usually means your body has adapted and is conserving rather than responding.
In that context, the fact that Reta brought your appetite back may actually be a positive signal, not something to suppress too much. At the same time, I would monitor carefully which of the two makes more sense to prioritize when increasing the dose.

It is still difficult to tell whether Reta is more effective for you. The appetite increase suggests activity, but the overall response does not yet appear clearly stronger in terms of weight loss. It may simply be that your body is still adjusting.

Personally, I ended up choosing Tirz and will likely keep Reta for later, possibly to stack once I reach maintenance.

Im impressed & can't wait to see that kind of number. Just have to keep going

The 900-1100 cal was before I started for years & was never able to loose. Now Im about 1200 I was reading its best to not go under that amount for women.

Thats what I was thinking about the Reta. Hopefully it turned on what ever was completely shut down, ha ha.

I dont know if its the right thing to do but Ive been stacking since week 2. I was going to put the Tirz aside, but after a week I felt pain coming back so I just decided to do both (opened & started using both carts so might as well, ha ha 🙂

This week went up to 4mg on the Tirz & going to stay on the 2mg Reta for this week in a few days. Last week didn't lose anything. I know 5mg Tirz is supposed to start getting better but thought the 2mg Reta would be good enough together. I don't have hunger & eating properly, a bit of exercise but I want to see the scale move!!

Reta at 10mg with 1.5 sema i hit a stall. Started 12.5 mg tirz with 6mg reta and broke the stall.
I guess I have to keep moving up if this weeks 4mg & 2mg don't do anything (which I hope is not the case bc Im only 2.5mo in).

I use tirz and had pretty steady loss from my starting dose of 2.5 mg. I didn't need to go above 7.5 mg to reach my goal weight, but I had less to lose than others. Currently able to maintain on 1.25 mg every 1-2 weeks. My wallet thanks me.

How long did it take you to go up to the 7.5?
