What dose of reta are you at?

I'm only a few weeks in, but this is the path that I followed as well. Week one was .5, week two was 1, three was 1.5. I experienced appetite suppression from week 1, but it trails off by day 5 or 6 as mentioned above. My goal in starting small and making small increases was to titrate up and better visibility into dosing if any negative side effects creep in. Currently, I am sticking to a 7 day cycle, and I am hoping once I get up to a little higher dose or have a higher therapeutic level that the suppression will stretch the whole week.

If it hasn't improved after a month or two in the higher dose range, I may look at splitting the dose and doing twice a week, but I want to give it an earnest shot at working before going that route.
I am doing this as well. I am currently at 2.5mg/wk and I am thinking about going to 3 or 4.

I'm currently taking 2 mg per week, but I'll soon be increasing to 2.5 mg because after 10 weeks I'm noticing that it's becoming less effective and I need to increase the dose more frequently. This time I'll only be on the new dose increase (2 mg) for two weeks.

I'm just finishing up my third week. I started at 0.5 mg per week and have since increased to 1 mg in my third week. The only negative side effect I experienced at first was fatigue, but that went away by the third day. I actually gained a bit of weight during the first two weeks! 🫣 It wasn't until the third week, when I upped my dosage to 1 mg, that I started noticing some weight loss. I still get hungry, which is exactly what I want, but the urge to clean my plate or go back for seconds has died down. I can now stop eating when I'm full and actually be okay with it. So far so good, I think I'll stick with 1 mg for a while. I'm excited to see what week four will be like!

Was at 4mg and realised I was not getting enough protein, was loosing weight , about 10kg /20lb . Then upped my protein intake as well as creatine , as I also hit the resistance training a bit harder .

Although weight loss as stalled at about 88kg/180lb body seems to be recomposing nicely. The six pack is starting to form and I'm certainly getting broad shoulders and a more defined figure. Hopefully water retention on account of the creatine is the cause of the stall, As I'm definitely in a good calorie deficit.

Ill give it a few more weeks before heading to 5mg and perhaps 6mg.

Looking to mix in klow or glow and some other in the mix ,. I want to do muy research as to what I can mix with Reta . I'm kinda happy with Reta on its own but I guess in for a penny in for a pound .

Just popped number 2 of 6mg yesterday. It was also the first week I didn't lose any weight.

I know everyone is different but I read a lot of posts where people start at low doses and don't need to titrate up that high of a dose.
I'm curious as to if people go all the way up to 12mg like in the clinical trials, if if they have reaped most benefits at lower doses.

So my question is:
How long have you been taking Reta for?
Where along are you in your journey?
What is your current dosage?
My first cycle was 1mg a week. It worked perfectly to be honest. Wouldn’t change a thing, went from 196 to 177 in a little over a month.

I had been at 15mg Tirz in a stall for 6 months swapped straight to 8mg of Reta two weeks ago
I was at 10mg and switched to 2mg a month ago. Increased to 3mg. I honestly don’t feel a thing. Ugh. Did you just decide 8mg or how did that happen?

Still on 6mg. I wanted to mention this. Hunger/appetite suppression is still there, but we bought two really big NY Strips. I cooked one tonight, my wife only wanted a bite of mine thinking I'll never get all this down. Well, I stuffed my butt off and got that whole sucker down. It was damn good. That's all, back to the regular scheduled program.

Approaching 100 days mark of me using Reta -- started from 0.5mg once per 7 days, and titrated up to 1mg per 5 days. I am feeling effects of it really well, already lost around 8kg, and thinking about pushing to 2mg per 5 days, since the new batch of Reta I bought is 20mg per vial, while old one was 10.

How long did you take 10 mg then ?
Try 1 mg every 5-6 days is probably a good idea, and if you are like me, go up one mg per week. Just know that it's not recommended. Because of how it works and because of possible side effects. Go down in Tirz at the same time.
I have great experience, no side effects, until after a few months on 8 mg reta, I had some anhedonia show up again, so went down to 6 mg.
I had some
Nausea on returning to tirz at the 10
Mg level. I continue to gain weight despite no other changes. I have continued on the 10 of tirz and the nausea passed after a week. I now need to add Reta but am struggling to find a reliable reconstitution guideline - like how much BAC water to put in a 24 mg vial of lyophilized Reta. Any suggestions? I have found calculators in the past but can’t find them now. Fml!! TYIA.

I'm on my 5th week and hit 3mg this week. I'm going up each week .5 mg until 4mg. I would titrate more slowly but I have so many foot and knee issues I need to drop 40 lbs as fast as possible. I'm 55, 5'11 278 lbs, dropped 8 lbs the first week from appetite suppression. I have metabolic adaptation from keto, fasting and strict dieting for many years. 3 weeks under 1000 calories doesn't move the scale. I've fasted 3 days multiple times a month on carnivore with intermittent fasting under 1200 calories a day... Nothing. So will it surprise me if I have to throw the kitchen sink at this thing? Btw I'm trying to hit 150g protein and resistance train to failure several times a week. I've got a lot of muscle under there I'm looking forward to actually seeing it someday.
Did you see any progress in the 2 weeks since the last weigh in?

I've been using reta for going on almost 6 months now. Started at 2mg per week and worked great for the goals I was after as I eventually titrated up to 10mg and then 12mg per week.

Any appetite suppression, which had been pretty mild all along but was just right for me, disappeared the past few weeks, so I just tried 15mg this week, which seems to have done the trick for now. I never really had any negative side effects from it throughout so I felt comfortable giving that a try, and will probably hang out there for another few week, while I decide my next move. I love reta and it's been awesome for me, but after this, I think it will be time to move on to something else. Great thread!
Curious what your starting weight, titration schedule and weight loss like?

Curious what your starting weight, titration schedule and weight loss like?
230lbs, started at 2mg per week for a few weeks, went up to 4mg for a few, then 8mg, then 10mg for a while, mostly due to my vials were derivatives of 10 (20mg, 30mg) and it was just easier. Then 12mg for about a month. All told, it that was all in a six month period.

Weight loss happened pretty quickly, about 20lbs in the first month, but I was pretty strict with diet and exercise. Weight loss slowed about the 6th week, which was fine because I was lifting weights quite a bit and figured at that point it was mostly a trade off of a little fat loss and a little muscle gain. I stopped weighing myself at that point, but a doctor just weighed me at 193lbs the other day.

i have 0.5mg every 3 days. its been only 10 days and i already see a lot of effect on my appetite. i will wait before upping my dose.

I'm also at 8mg. Started at 0.5 in January. I never experienced any major food suppression.
I am able to eat small portions every 2-2.5hrs. 1800 calories, 140g protein & 30g firbe each day.
I really just wanted the Glucagon benefits, but I have lost 15lbs and gained muscle mass (I doubled my TRT dosage temporarily).
I old man boobs are almost gone and the 1" pinch around the waist is now 1/2".
Just ordered Mots-C and will add that.

I hit the scale when I woke up at 4:30 and down 30lbs and 1.5% body fat. Knocked down pin 3 of 6mg this morning. This one of J5 R24 hit hard, and this was the last pin out of these 2 24s. Absolutely not hungry at all, but I do need to eat dinner. Left over ribs and slaw. I made the ribs Wednesday on the pellet grill. Going to mix up 2 R40s, a little over fill at 44mg I've had later getting ready for next week.

Started week 1 on 0.5mg, week 2 on 1mg, week 3 on 1.5mg, went on vacation, did not pin for 11 days and definitely felt the effect wear off during the vacation, only gained 0.1kg during the vacation so I guess it was still doing it's job!

Came back and pinned 2mg on March 31st and will be pinning 2mg tomorrow (every 5 days for me) again.

My goals with Reta from the start were to minimize side effects by titrating up slowly, and to use the minimum effective dose as long as possible.

I started at 1mg, once per week, for the first 5 weeks, increased to 2mg for 5 weeks, and I am currently on week 2 at 3mg. The side effects are most pronounced in the first week after increasing the dose but minimal. I plan to stay on this path, ramping up 1 more milligram per dose every 4-6 weeks, until reaching 6mg, which I am planning to be my ceiling. Listening to my body, and will tweak the plan slightly if necessary.

So far I am exceeding my weight loss goals, and have had almost no side effects, which I credit to my diet. I feel really great in general. I am focusing on resistance training and light cardio. I’ve lost 29lbs in the first 12 weeks, down from 228lbs to 199, while building muscle in the process. My goal is hit 175, then maintain.

Everyone is different but this is working wonders for me. My wife is following the same path.

i started at 2mg this week. i figure if it's good enough for the trials, it's good enough for me. the side effects in the first few hours really sucked, though.

Any reason why you go up so fast?

If Tirz is suppressing your appetite at whatever dose, there's minimal reason to escalate until that changes.

Reta's benefit over Tirz is GCGR signaling, which is dose dependent... the limiting factor for escalating dosage could be sides, depending on your goals and biology. Thus the quicker and to some limit more you get GCGR signaling the bump in BMR/TDEE, the better Reta may work, since Reta isn't for appetite control like Sema and Tirz.

Any reason why you go up so fast?
I personally bumped up to 6mg from 5 weeks of 4mg because both my wife and I weren't getting the appetite suppression and just wasn't getting the same feeling. First week of 6mg with a different vendor, nothing, then second week, bam. Shit hit hard. Just finished those vials and mixed another two vials from another vendor I had, and wanted to try. Sticking with 6mg for now.

Started out at 1mg but moved up to 2mg within a couple of weeks. Lost about 20lbs fairly quick after going to 3mg. Then stalled out even after going up to 5mg. For some reason I stayed tired and sleepy all the time. Stopped the reta and changed to tirz. Gained 5lbs right off on a really low dose. Taking 5mg of tirz and it seems to work for about 4 days.
Thinking of taking about splitting 2-3mg of reta with the tirz to see if that helps. Some of the tired feeling has gone but have also started cpap therapy about 10 days ago.
Not sure if stopping reta or starting coap is helping.
