What dose of reta are you at?

Week 1-
.5mg

Week 2, 3
1mg

Week 4 (just started)
1.5mg

Zero sides other than feeling like I just ate a buffet after every time I ate something the size of my fist. Not a fan of that.

Probably gonna stay here until Week 6 or 7 and go to 2mg and plan to stay there. Lost 10lbs so far.

Started at 1mg about 5 months ago, went for 3 weeks and upped it to 2mg went for another 3 weeks, lost about 20 lbs, then tried to go to 3mg, but the nausea was too much so I brought it back to 2mg. Not only was there nausea on the 3mg, but lethargy, lack of energy, but they say that's to be expected while the body converts from burning carbs to oxidizing fat. Takes a couple of weeks to get past that.

After a week back at 2mg, I started to get a strange cough, so I dropped it for about a month to make sure it wasn't related to the Reta.

Started back up about 3 weeks ago, back to 1mg, yesterday's dose was 1.5 mg, thinking I'll be at this dose for a while, for maintenance. I didn't need to drop much weight, but the other benefits of Reta were very enticing, not to mention that I bought 3 vials of 24 mg, so I plan to use it all.

I did notice some muscle loss, but I'm considering taking some HMB to prevent any more loss. Hard to keep up on the protein, I'm 6' 200lbs, so 200mg is difficult to hit. That, and the slower motility of the gut is problematic, as far as keeping things moving in the gut, added psyllium fiber early on to help with that, but it tastes terrible. May try the orange flavored Metamucil to make it go down easier. No sides from the 1.5 mg dose.

I had been at 15mg Tirz in a stall for 6 months swapped straight to 8mg of Reta two weeks ago
Very interested in hearing more about this. This is about where I am. I've been on 15mg Mounjaro (tirz) for about a year. Only the past couple months feels like i'm stalling a bit. You went STRAIGHT IN at 8mg a week? Dropped tirz entirely? How was your experience doing that? Did you struggle with hunger/food noise more? Is the raised heart rate thing noticeable?

I hear some people saying they keep tirz and ADD reta? Is that insane? My 15mg Mounjaro autopens from the pharmacy are what they are. There may be some brilliant method for hacking them somehow, but I haven't tried. Seems maybe dicey? Maybe I could get my doctor to titrate me down while I bring in reta. Or do you think switching out and going in at a higher dose is the thing?

It's frustrating stalling with everything I'm doing. I lift, I infrared sauna, hike, yoga, elliptical, etc. In addition to the 15mg tirz, I'm doing Tesa/Ipa, testosterone (through PCP) and much more. Sorry to ramble. I'd love to hear everything about your experience switching.

I’m leveling off at 7mg/week after starting my bridge from Tirz on 1/10.

I know they say start low and go slow, but I came from Tirz high dose. I titrated up over 8 weeks, then I was on 8 mg for 2 months, now down to 6 mg the last 3 weeks, because I got anhedone.
I'm very close to my goal weight, so it's slow weight loss now.
Thanks for posting this. If you don't mind the question, were you on 15mg tirz? (I am)j. Do you think starting slow was the right move? And what was slow for you? 2mg a week?

No I was at 11 mg.
I started at 1 mg reta, while still on tirz 11 mg. Went up 1 mg per week until on 8 mg.
And down in tirz on the same period of time.
It worked well for me.
I would not recommend 1 mg titration per week, when not used to Reta, but I went for it. No real side effects, besides the anhedonia on 8 mg, and on/off higher RHR by 10. Sometimes I did feel a bit of allodynia, but not convinced about it.

Appreciate it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

DOES anyone know if there's a way to sort of 'hack' the Lilly mounjaro autopens? So that I can somehow get the liquid out into a vial and then be able to dole it out in lesser doses?

I was on 5mg Tirz when I started the bridge.

I did not go low and slow on Reta… all gas, no brakes. No observed data makes me regret that decision thus far.

Stay on 2mg for 4 weeks and let it build up as suggested in the trials.

Are you losing weight?
I am, down ~15lbs in almost 5 weeks

You can use a syringe to extract the product from the pen but you'd need to maintain sterility in storage and dispensing methods. See: "Golden Dose".

I'm 6 months in and about 3 weeks ago I moved to 5mg every 6 days. I'm down about 72lbs so far so I don't feel like I need to continue increasing at this point. I started very low at only 0.5mg per week and titrated up from there very slowly.

There's a ton of videos online about how to do this. I couldn't find my favorite video, but a google search and an hour of watching videos will get you there.

I'm on week 2 of 2mg, so far been good, no issues other than slightly loose bowels the morning after 2nd pin, but possibly not related.

Two months on Reta.
Down 18lbs.

Started at 1mg a week and split the dose on Monday and Friday.
Currently splitting 2mg a week.

2 lbs away from target weight and have no plans to increase dosage. Will likely micro dose for maintenance.

Only concerning side effect is the decrease in libido, but hoping to alleviate that with micro dosing. I have lost some muscle. Attempting to counter through CJC 1295 & ipamorelin.

My experience was quickly dropping 13 lbs then plateauing for two weeks, then the scale started moving again.

Been around 3 months. Down around 43. Third month stalled. Finally going back down. Started at 2mg and titrated every 4 weeks by 2. I was at 6mg and got a little weird feeling. Turned out it was too much niacin that day. Going to bump to 7 next dose. Just to be safe. Another 40lb to go

That's like 3.5/week which is too much I think. I'm doing 8mg and I'm between 1-2lbs/week. Last week was 1.8lbs. It's been like that since I started first week of Jan besides a small stale here and there.

It slowed down so no worries.

A bunch is water weight when first starting. I wasn't giving you a hard time, more like watching out. Fast loss comes back easy and quick.
not stressing it. Weirdly enough i track weightloss morning and night. I see normally a 2 to 4 pound swing morning to night. But when i was stalled i saw 4 to 6 pound swings. Added double the cardio and reduced my fats and upped carbs and it stabilized more toward "normal". Hopefully thats anecdotally indicative of it starting to trend down again.

Me: Stacking Reta 5 mg twice a week and Tirz 12.5 once a week.
Family Member: Tirz 12.5 once a week.

Currently at 1.5mg every Thursday and feeling it hard. Was worried I would need a higher dose to keep up, but NOPE its waaaay strong there

3 months in.

Week one took .5mg and didn’t feel anything so injected another ‘5mg on day 4 and so began my biweekly protocol.

By end of week one going into week two I had frequent urges to have a bm almost like I drank too much coffee but it subsided after a week.

Titrated to 2mg split dose week 3 and 3mg week 4. Likely moved up too quick because I didn’t want to eat at all. Stayed there for another couple of weeks until the evening good noise returned and moved to 4mg. Spent most of month 2 at 4mg and titrated up to 6mg in month 3.

Month 3 ( last month) I noticed the anendonia and was very fatigued. Spent most of the month going to bed early. I’m sure the fatigue was also related to cutting back drinking to almost nothing and ramping up to 5x week in the gym. Apparently NAC can cause anendonia too so cut that out.

Heading into month 4 now and just moved up to 8mg. Fatigue is generally better and a anedonia has lessened. Down about 22lbs from 234 to 212.

I think you could just inject into a sterile vial. Obviously it wouldn't include the level of preservatives that are in a multidose vial so it just depends on your risk tolerance. I do know of many that are splitting Zepbound vials/pens and haven't heard of any issues though and some people do just dilute their peps with sterile injection water without alcohol.

I'm at 5 mg every 6 days. Very happy at this dose. I get hungry if I haven't eaten but I'm satisfied with my meals and have very few cravings for foods I shouldn't have.

I stopped tirz. Too much fatigue and too much appetite suppression to the point of not even wanting to look at food or enjoy my meals.

I started my Reta at 0.5mg weekly early December of last year and titrated up slowly, now I'm at 4mg but split 2mg on Sun AM & 2mg on Wed on PM. When I did 4mg once a week, I had a terrible nausea, so I went back down to 3mg for a few weeks, and tried the split 4mg which works better for me. So far I've lost 15lbs and I actually prefer the conservative weight loss. I'm also stacking it with AOD9604.

Started Week #6 - my 2nd week at 6mg.

My energy today was through the roof by comparison to previous weeks.

It's still early at this dose, but I plan to hold here until I see a reason to change. My avg. loss per week reached a high now of -1.4lbs (much improved from my previous -0.8 lbs / wk), and my total weight lost is now -7.4 lbs.

I normally full-rest on weekends, but I felt so damn good today that I added in some more rowing. I'm seeing week-over-week improvements with my more intense workouts - which I think is due to me being able to breathe more freely, plus slight gains in strength. What used to feel like "pure hell" (20mins of rowing) is starting to feel almost fun and casual. So I'm thinking of moving to 6 days of rowing per week (up from 5), along with the 3 days of weights.

Feels real good, man.

I´m taking Reta 2 months now and take 3.3mg/5 days currently.
Started with 1.0mg/6 days and increased every 2-3 weeks.
Lost 22lbs (10kg) and my goal ist to loose another 11lbs (5kg).
I'm currently planning to lower the dose of Reta and add Tirz.
How about you?
This post really interested me because I did the reverse... got up to 7.5mg Tirz then added 1mg Reta as im incapacitated currently with my back issues and wanted more fat loss. Im currently on 5mg Tirz and 3mg Reta and doing well. My big question to more experienced RS's is: if you switch completely from one to the other, if you later switch back, does it work as before because you haven't stopped GLP-1, or not as effective as if you stopped all together? I hope that makes sense.

wk 1-4 : 1mg
wk 5-8 : 2mg
wk 9-12 : 3mg
wk 13-16 : 4mg
wk 17-20 : 5mg
wk 21 - 22 : 6mg - broke my 4wk rule for the first time
wk 23 : 8mg (6mg + 2mg) - going rogue. go big or go home

Total : 80mg of reta over a course of 23 weeks
Weight loss : zero
Weight gain : zero

I will be switching to cagri soon as the food noise on high dose reta has taken over my life.
