Where to buy Hospira water?

I use the VA for much of my healthcare and I am confident that my kitchen wiped down with alcohol is more sterile. Pretty sure I use better syringes as well. Lol
Jeez you and me don't have the same confidence level aha

I have been looking into this and it appears that compounding pharmacies and medication producers do not even use bacteriostatic water. Where did the information that this is a best practice come from? I’m not asking to be a smartass. I would like to know.
I am not sure this info is correct at all. I know some compunding pharmacies that I personally used that do use bac water basically... in either case, the use of bac water (vs "plain" sterile water) is to prevent growth of kooties ... sterile water does not really do that well enough (or at all, really)... benzyl alcohol helps w/ that

Based on feedback on another thread, I bought a case of Hospira BAC water at medex.com. I ignored the "requires a medical license" prompt, since I don't have a medical license 🙂. Ordered on the 9th and received yesterday! I bought a box of 25 vials of the 30ml. total including shipping came to $87, so comes out to $3 per vial?
Wow, prices have shore jumped. Its now about $110 shipped. Any promo codes?

There is a package of hospira water (25 vials) in the carrier's warehouse in the USA, bought at AMSCO, I cannot send it to another country and can only be sent to the USA, if anyone needs it, I can send it to you without prepayment, carriers do not carry it outside the USA and it is a pity to dispose of it

When I started with a compounding pharma, it did state on the vial: "tirz, benzyl alcohol in sterile water for injection". BUD date was one year away. Read the ingredient list for the Eli Lilly Tirz pen's. It has Benzyl, and is an eye opener on what else is in for ph, saline, etc. A lot of vaccines are shipped in lyophilized state. The pharmacist does the recon. Single use, then no benzyl needed. Multi use vial, then preservative needed.

I recently looked at Hallandale's tirz compound, it has exactly those 2 ingredients: Tirz, Bac water.
