New York Times, Why Ultrathin Is In - When it comes to fashion models, the body diversity revolution appears to be at an end (March 20, 2025), unlocked article, https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/20/...e_code=1.5k4.sSDm.uApVijucjoER&smid=url-share
I was kind of hoping that people being able to lose weight more easily would lead to folks becoming less obsessed with being super skinny. Think back to the 40s and 50s when models we heavier than they are now but the general population was skinnier. Models still tended to be skinnier, but there wasn't as much of a difference between the weights of normal people and models. However, it looks like people may becoming more focused on crazy levels of thin. Being healthy thin is good. Working to get to crazy levels of thin is bad.
