So this is something I've noticed and been thinking about since I started shopping grey, but it seems to me like a lot of vendors don't offer semaglutide. I just posted in another thread about this, but it makes a lot of sense from a price standpoint. Semaglutide is way, way cheaper than any other GLP peptide. That, plus the fact that a lot of people have switched to different options, means there's not a lot of reason for vendors to stock it.
This sucks a lot for people like me who've only ever used sema, only want to use sema, and have been incredibly successful on it. I've been using it for several years now, lost over 100 pounds in the first year, and have been in maintenance since. For the vast majority of that time period, I was only using 1mg. I think I went up to 2 for a couple months in the beginning, when I was following the regular titration schedule, but I realized the benefits (for me) of using more weren't really there, so I dropped back down. I don't get side effects at all, as far as I can remember. I certainly don't have any now.
To alleviate my fears of vendors just completely not offering it anymore, I'm planning on buying a couple 30mg kits which would last me almost a decade on my current dose. Of course, I also provide for my little sister who's on 3mg a week, so that'll drastically cut down the amount of time I'll get out of a kit...but if need be, I can switch her to tirzepatide. I've held off on that because sema is so much cheaper and I'm buying peptides for me, her, and my girlfriend, so it adds up quick lol.
To people who've been doing this longer, do you think my fears are unfounded? Is this actually something to be worried about? It just seems like any time someone makes a thread about wanting to switch to sema or add it to a stack, a bunch of people jump in and talk about why it's a bad idea and they should just use tirze instead. I feel like that's doing a lot of legwork for vendors who would rather sell a 60mg kit of tirze for $250 than a 10mg kit of sema for $50. But maybe I'm just cynical and paranoid, who knows.
