My first post out of the sandbox!!

52M and I let a lot of injuries and lazines push my weight from 195 - 240 since 2020. I see that there is another post about stacking but I wanted to go into more details and chart some progress for anyone who is interested. My goal is to reduce weight to 190 and then recomp back up to 200.

I begin this new journey with 1 week of clean whole food eating just to prove to myself that I could formulate a nutrition plan, that the GLp1s would just be a tool and I would be doing the heaving lifting. The week of Nov 9th I meal prepped and ate 1400 calories a day, with each meal being protein forward. For the sake of tracking I called this week 0. Let me give my chart.

Week 0 (11/9): 238
Week 1 (11/16): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 2.5 - Weight 234.8
Week 2 (11/23): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 2.5 - Weight 227.5
Week 3 (11/30): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 3.0 - Weight 225.4
Week 4 (12/07): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 5.0 & Reta Dose 1.5 - Weight 222.1
Week 5 (12/14): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 5.0 & Reta Dose 1.5 - Weight 218.7
Week 6 (12/21): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 5.0 & Reta Dose 2.0 - Weight 216.3
Week 7 (12/28): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 7.5 & Reta Dose 2.0 - Weight 213.6
Week 8 (01/04): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 7.5 & Reta Dose 2.0 - Weight 210.6
Week 9 (01/11): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 5.0 & Reta Dose 2.0 & CJC/IPA Dose 250mcg M-F - Weight 208.4

Planned Titration:
Week 10 (11/18): Tirz 5.0 & Reta Dose 3.0 & CJC/IPA Dose 250mcg M-F
Week 11 (11/25): Tirz 5.0 & Reta Dose 3.0 & CJC/IPA Dose 250mcg M-F
Week 12 (02/01): Tirz 5.0 & Reta Dose 3.0 & CJC/IPA Dose 250mcg M-F
Week 13 (02/08): Tirz 5.0 & Reta Dose 3.0 & CJC/IPA Dose 250mcg M-F
Week 14 (02/15): Tirz 5.0 & Reta Dose 3.0 & CJC/IPA Dose 250mcg M-F
Week 15 (02/22): Tirz 5.0 & Reta Dose 3.0 & CJC/IPA Dose 250mcg M-F

Negatives:
* Week 2: Constipation, almost nothing moved for 8 days.
* Weeks 7 and 8: had severe diarrhea for 48 hours 24hrs after taking Tirz (like I could not leave 5 feet away from the bathroom, thank goodness for my bidet)
* I get a very weak headache that lasts until midday the day after taking Reta
* Decreased libido, Test came back normal for my age but I know there is a difference that I can pinpoint to the time I've been pinning myself.

Positives:
* no nausea
* no food noise (though I never had it prior)
* killed my desire to have a night cap or drink socially

Interesting:
* still getting normal hunger but nothing that is driving me to eat. This has only been occuring since week 8.
* energy is much higher now
* sleep improved slightly
* I sometimes feel a lack of motivation to get things done and have to focus on snapping out of it.

Final Thoughts:
I have not had and severe complications from stacking the two GLP1s, I actually think they are working synergically together. I know that my body does not like me going above 5 Tirz (I may be a super responder to it) but has had not problem tolerating Reta. If you're on the fence (BTW I'm not a doctor or a researcher other than conducting my own research) try it but don't jump in the deep in right away.

Go ahead and ask me any question you want.

Constipation for a week and diarrhea for two days is severe complications in my book. Seems like you may be titrating too quickly. It can get much worse though. It took me a year to get up to 10mg of tirz and now I'm stacking the tirz with 2mg of reta with good results. Looks like your goal weight is well within reach.

The Constitpation was after my 2nd shot, that was not a titration issue - my body was just sorting things out. THE move up to 7.5 was doctor recommended and I moved back down to 5.0 even though the doctor said it would eventually sort itself out. I have not had any other issues (complications).

But both of those are not considered serious and are known side-effects of the drugs.

Update:

Week 10 (01/18): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 5.0 & Reta Dose 3.0 - Weight 205.5
Week 11 (01/25): Compounded Tirz/L-Car Dose 5.0 & Reta Dose 3.0 & - Weight 202.4

Positives:
* no nausea
* no food noise (though I never had it prior)
* killed my desire to have a night cap or drink socially
* energy levels have stayed high, not impacting workout

Workout:

I've learned how to maximize my workout:
M,T,Th,Fri = 12mins Row, 30 mins treadmill 12incl/4mph, 12 mins stairmaster (lvl 10)
M/W/Sat - PPL
Sunday full rest day

Future and planning for maintance:

Should hit goal weight end of February. Will start on CJC/IPA, HGH, and IGF-1f as I recomp.

I have 300mg of Tirz and 600mg of Reta in the box. I plan to use 2-3mg of Reta weekly during maint.

Wow, thanks for the detailed info. I'm 59 years old, I've been on compounded Tirz for 12 weeks and am down 43 lbs (240-197, I think 5-7 lbs of that was water). I just bought a few kits of Reta and plan on doing a similar routine.
I'm doing 6mg's of Tirz a week and started Cagri 2 weeks ago to help with the food noise (not sure I dig the Cagri, it's working but it feels like there's a lump in my gut). I actually haven't lost much muscle either which, I think is do to my high protein and water intake along with my resistance training. The reason I want to add reta is to give me more energy and help with body recon. The Tirz kinda keeps me low energy which is out of character for me.
Does the Reta help get you off the couch?

This is the key to lasting success. My appetite suppression is not what it once was when I started on Tirz 18 months ago and the food noise is up a bit. I have 15 lbs to go to hit goal. My weight has been on a very slight decline the last 6 months (1 lb per month). I have decreased my tirz dose a bit and am placing much more emphasis on lasting habits. I still indulge on pizza and ice cream but can get back on program easily.

I'm unsure if it is the Reta but I'm highly motivated and make sure that I am sticking to a routine that I can follow on/off GLP1 drugs.

My normal day is approx 1400 calories, 190 - 200 protein. I wish I could get more calories but I eat until full and this is just where I land.

Similar story here. 60 male, 6'0", sw 202, cw 172. 600mcg of cjc/ipa evenings and glow daily.

Lost all the weight on 2.5 Zepbound in 12 weeks then plateaued at ~172 which was my goal. I had a couple of weeks of severe constipation followed by severe diarrhea. It's part of the process.

Switched cold turkey to 2mg retatrutide 3 weeks ago so both are still in my system. I'm pretty much only on maintenance trying to get my body fat down while adding muscle back.

I would not titrate up if I was still losing weight like you are. Wait until you start to see the weight loss taper off if you haven't reached your goal.

Data point for you - Ipa saturates out around 150-200 mcg. I ran a CJC1295/Ipa blend and I really wish I would have got them separately. I'll do another cycle of CJC and Ipa, but I'll buy individually and recon 5:1 or 10:1 CJC:Ipa

Great progress !!!!

29.6 lbs down from 238 to 208.4 in ~9 weeks is impressive (averaging ~3.3 lbs/week), especially stacking Tirz + Reta + adding CJC/IPA for that extra edge. Solid call on capping Tirz at 5 mg if higher doses hit you hard (diarrhea sounds rough—common super-responder pattern). Reta seems to tolerate well and synergize nicely without major GI blowups, which tracks with user reports on the combo (stronger appetite/metabolic push, but watch for cumulative sides like the headaches). The libido dip is a noted thing with GLP-1/GIP/glucagon agonists (including Reta) some folks pin it to rapid fat loss/hormonal shifts or energy redirection, even with normal test levels. Energy/sleep upticks are huge wins, though. Keep crushing it your planned titration looks measured. Curious how the CJC/IPA feels long-term for muscle preservation/motivation. Stay hydrated, maybe add electrolytes/fiber for any lingering gut tweaks.

Why run them separately, my reseach shows that they worked extremely well in a blend where as other things worked well taken together but not in a Blend (BPC157/TB).

From Day 1, Reta gave me a low low grade headache, I mean a 1 out of 10 on the scale that lasts from when I wake up until around noon. I mean it is every time, that's how I know its working 🙂

The CJC/IPA addition was more for my sleep and especially deeper sleep and better recovery. I'm still crushing my workouts in the Gym but I've gone from 5.5-6 hrs a night to 7-8 hrs, with deep sleep going from 30mins avg to 45 min avg.

My 77 day avg is:
1439 cals
186 protein
117 carbs
37 fat
29 fiber
103 Water/Hydration

Nice!! Those consistent low-grade Reta headaches (1/10, gone by noon) are a classic sign it's hitting the glucagon receptors hard, and yeah, that's basically the "it's working" signal for a lot of people on it. Big win on the sleep/recovery jump from CJC/IPA: +1.5–2 hrs total sleep and +50% deep sleep is huge at your age/dose stack. That deeper recovery is probably why you're still smashing workouts without crashing

Thanks for the heads up about the headaches and other tidbits. It’s been an easy trip and I’m enjoying the ride.

I'll buy separately next time because I want a closer control over the dose. I'm aiming for CJC1295 in the 1 mg range and Ipa 100-150. The blends I was able to find (at least when I looked last time) are 1:1, and that will be way too much Ipa for the CJC dose I'm after.

I noticed a huge improvement in my sleep on cjc/ipa. Its become a staple on my stack, I was sleeping horribly before this and it was really effecting me. I was on Tirzepatide at the time, sema before thanz but with cjc/ipa added on my fatigue is all but gone. The sleep is a blessing.

Positives:
* no nausea
* no food noise (though I never had it prior)
* killed my desire to have a night cap or drink socially

Interesting:
* still getting normal hunger but nothing that is driving me to eat. This has only been occuring since week 8.
* energy is much higher now
* sleep improved slightly

So the scale has slowed down this week as I started transitioning to muscle building and shifting into recomp. I’m 7-12 lbs off goal weight so I’ve upped my calories, added in muscle building peptides and creatine.

I plan to reduce tirz to 3 and increase Reta to 4 in the coming weeks.

Some photos showing how effective the combo has been in a short amount of time.

Yeah I’ve been a a short sleeper my adult life, so this is new for me to get the recommended amount.

Interested in what motivated you to stack?
They act differently, I wanted a little bit of both Tirz appetite suppression and Reta fat loss, and muscle preservation. It’s worked like a charm for me. My own “research” told me they would be synergistic for me.

Thanks,

Why run them separately, my reseach shows that they worked extremely well in a blend where as other things worked well taken together but not in a Blend (BPC157/TB).
Because as he said, IPA maxes out at 150-200mcg. He plans to create his own blend instead of using more IPA than his body can use.

That's awesome for you another win for cjc/ipa.

I found my test subject didn't get the same quality of sleep on tesa alone. And also found cjc/ipa is cheaper than the sleep medication my doctor prescribed on a monthly basis, even with insurance.

I haven't tried Tesa by itself, but I get much better sleep with Tesa/Ipa than I do without it.

I had severe GI issues at the beginning of using Tirz, very little when I switched to Reta, and now I get acid indigestion for 24 hours after I dose Reta (4mg), but I think it’s bc I’ve been titrating up slowly and maybe when I level off the acid will subside. If not, it’s a small price to pay, being down 20lbs and feeling good 98% of the time.

Update: it was a a challenging week. As I’m moving towards my goal and transitioning to recomp the scale has slowed down.

Negative: Major setback was on Thursday/Friday. I went out to dinner and had a burger and fries. Like 3 oz of fries and only the bottom bun. Well the bread food got me, Thursday the sulfur burps were awful and Friday the poops would not let me sleep. Lesson learned, some foods have to be off limits right now.

Positive I am only 8 pounds from my goal weight!

Dosing: Tirz 5mg/Reta 3mg, BPC/Tb 250mcg, CJC/IPA 300mcg.

Update time. Getting closer and now I’m sure that I want to go lower than my goal of 190, I love the progress but instill dont have the look I want.

It often works like that, the closer you get to your goal the further away it still seems. Huge progress, though! Have you gotten a DEXA before? It might give you an idea of what your goal actually is. Or, just keep going until you're happy.

New Update:

Found out that my body does not like supplemental fiber (Optifiber), it causes severe GI problems for me.

THIS IS SO MADDENINING, to be this close to my goal of 192 and I am ping-ponging between 192 and 194 for the past 10 days.

Dosing is still 5mg Tirz/= & 2mg Reta.

I know it's going to happen but man I wanted it before March hit. Now I'm hoping before April hits.

I have reached the end of one Journey and now ready to start another. My cut ended.

Now entering my 4 weeks of maintenance where I’m reverse dieting back to TDEE and from there a lean bulk @ 300+ calories.

So how did I do. My Final Cut weight was at 188.

I started HGH 6 weeks ago and added IGF-01LR3 3 weeks ago. I’m wish you all the best on your journey.
