Blood work

My doctor did the normal bloodwork CBC panel plus some Thyroid (TSH, T4, T3) testing as the minimum before starting Tirzepatide. They also recommend checking Vitamin B and D levels as lots of people can have love levels and that is easily fixed. I also had my hormone levels checked as I wanted to get a baseline. I'd encourage everyone to consult a knowledgeable doctor and get bloodwork as you may learn a lot. I know I did.

It's always a good idea to get things checked even if not starting any new peptide.

But some markers to check is everything your doc will let you, blood glucose, A1C, test, lipids, vitamins.

Probably a good idea to get a dexa or InBody scan before hand as well. They're not the end all be all, but if you do enough to track trends, that would be great.

For all of you that are on it, does your doctor know you’re taking it? Is it prescribed or are you going Grey market? I’m going gray market and I don’t really want to share that with my doctor.

I've requested bloodwork from my naturopath but will not be saying anything what I'm taking. I've just told her that I have lost 22lbs and want to see where I am. She didn't ask how I lost the weight (yet).

I’ve had a lot of bloodwork done partially to look for issues (none), but more to establish a baseline to track where I go on the journey with the idea being another way to track improvement over time.

just wondering, should I get basic bloodwork done before I start Tirz? If so is there anything specific I should get checked?
HbA1c is a very good and common baseline one to get also. It shows how close one is to prediabetic or not.

I've gone a very long time without any routine bloodwork. Telehealth ordered a couple labs when I started on compound way back when, but it's been over a year since I've had any.

It's not something I'd recommend, but I would not say it's absolutely required.

I found Siphox and was so excited and had such high hopes, but that turned out to be such a shitshow.

Anyway - I'd think a baseline CBC and full chem panel would be appropriate; that should hit thyroid, A1C and insulin.
