Anyone else insomniacs? I don't sleep well but when I do it's during the day because I'm a night owl. To many years of nightshift work when I was working. I don't know many nights owls so I research a lot nothingness. 🤣
Anyone else the same here?

I'm not a night owl, but I haven't slept well in 3 years.
My doctor won't give me meds because they're all addictive.

I just found out about DSIP peptide.

And I already ordered my Mots-C last week..🙁

I recently bought a shikifuton and have never slept as well in my life. I used to be in a techops based role for a previous company which ruined my sleep schedule.

Highly recommend investing in your comfort/sleep hygiene. Most box spring mattresses wreck your back while memory foam also doesn't adequately cool you or support your spine.

The only thing that helps me is smoking. I don't like how sleep medicine makes me feel. I just got to watch the munchies.

I have a good mattress. I just don't sleep. Some of it is related to chronic pain as well.

The shikifuton I have has helped immensely with backpain and fatigue for what it is worth. I have transitioned from a side sleeper to a back sleeper and no longer wake up with joint issues or soreness.
I can relate to that. I started sleeping on my back and no more back pain in the morning 🙂

I'll look into it. I have lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. My new mattress has helped tremendously.

You could try Trazadone, non-addictive works fairly well for alot of people till it don't. It's an old school Physcho med, I was on it for 5 years and could normally get 5-7 hours sleep. You can essily get online telehealth Rx as well.

Dsip & Epithalon did nothing for me, CJC-1295 no dac with Ipamorelin does help me a little and Melatinon is ok.

I've worked nights for 35 years, I can relate! I've tried everything but, self administered Anesthesia and knocking myself unconcious to sleep.

I took trazadone but it stopped working.

This is really interesting. My bed from early childhood until the time I was maybe 20 or so was a loft bed — so just a mattress on its own. I loved that bed and slept so well. I also very frequently always say, “I never sleep as well as I do when I’m camping (sleeping on a camp mattress or even just a sleeping bag on the ground).”

I am sleeping really well with the coconut coir mat from Thailand that is about an inch and a half thick. This allows for airflow and cooling that I never got with a traditional mattress.

I also have these problems, on weekends during the day I can sleep but at night I just don't sleep well. I have tried L-tryptophan, melatonin, ashwaghanda, magnesium glycinate everything but nothing helps. I have also tested Epitalon but also without success. The only thing that helped in the beginning was zopiclone, but unfortunately the body gets used to it and you have to increase the dose. Now with Reta, of course, I sleep even worse

Sufficient airflow sounds very nice. My wife sleeps HOT and sweaty 🤣 I’ll definitely look that up, too! Thanks for sharing.

What’s your exercise like? Diet? Sleep hygiene?

like diet and exercise , sleep takes effort. I also found out the hard way. You need to have a solid nightly routine and following it if you want to have any impact.
Things that worked for me.
#1 NO PHONE / COMPUTER before bed.
#2 500+ mg of Magnesium glycinate
#3 20mg of Melatonin
#4 get to bed early... (I force my self to be in bed and all lights out by 11:00pm).

Its not going to have an impact on day one but if you follow through , after 1 week you should start to see sleep improve.

My issue with Rx was the unbelievable stuff I did while on it. I slept great, did not get addicted, stopped in one day with no issues, but the stuff I would do and be completly unaway was scary.

Melatonin I take 5mg only and magnesium citrate and glycinate I take both.
But I always have my cell phone with me

Well, I completely feel your pain.

36 years of shift work mostly in a 9-1-1 Dispatch Center...high cortisol levels tanked my ability to sleep well...sometimes I would fall into a insomnia cycle and it almost hospitalized me once.
Insomnia is horrible. After I retired, it got even worse.
I have finally gotten a grip on the situation and no longer have to take Traz, which was also starting to not work for me.
What finally worked for me was cutting out almost all sugar and highly processed foods.
NAD+ for mitochondrial support
Epithalon 20 day cycle
TA-1 cycle
Methalyne Blue 5mg added upon waking up
Going outside first thing in the morning (not sure you can do this if still working shifts) and getting morning sun.
Learning not to freak out if I couldn't fall asleep...and this is where I differ from some people. I will put on a rather dry, but interesting podcast at a low level and just listen to the person speak (usually has to be a man with a low voice)...for some reason, this helps me relax, not fight for sleep and lets me drift off.

I have sleep issues, too. Night owl and can't fall asleep. Started DSIP and CJC 2 weeks ago and it helps. Not a sedative but helps circadian rhythm. I plan to add IPA since the 3 are the "sleep optimization" stack.
I take like 6 sleep supplements which also help. High cortisol is a real pain.
