Hi folks, I have 30mg vials coming my way. Now, I am thinking I will be throwing out a lot of Sema if I adhere to the 30-day rule (4 injections). On the max dose you would use 9.6mg of each vial which means I will be tossing out 20mg.
Did I make a mistake buying 30mg vials, and why would they even make 30mg vials? I plan to refrigerate and use sterile techniques. Could I pull 8 injections out of 1 vial?

I would use them... but that is just me. I would at least pull 3 months out of them. Ozempic is 56 days... you will be using bac water. I have no idea what Novo uses.

I have a 20mg vial that I have been using since mid October. Still clear and working fine afaik. Obviously check it for weird floaters or other nastiness before using but it should last for quite a while in the refrigerator.

That's great to hear. I hate the idea of throwing it away. Have you noticed any potency loss, or is it exactly as it was when you first opened it? Thanks

That is definitely hard to measure just by the “seat of my pants” but I am still loosing weight and it feels like it is working just fine. Sema for me is taken Monday and Thursday at .3 mg to help dull the hunger along with Tirz every 5 days for the food noise.

Very interesting. If you don't mind me asking about your dosing and what you started with, I'd like to know. Did you start 0.3 twice weekly? I started recently and followed standard guidance: 0.25 weekly on Tuesday. By Saturday/Sunday, my cravings are coming back. I know it is highly discouraged to start above 0.25 weekly, but I don't have side effects, and I feel I can up my dose. I am contemplating doing 0.25 twice weekly.

Buying 30mg vials when you're on 0.25mg weekly is insane. Even just dosing that little is going to be difficult and inaccurate.

But you do you.

I realized. I changed my order to 10mg vials. I don't think I will ever buy more than 10mg vials.

I have been adding .25 once a week since mid October so it isn't moving up all that much in the grand scheme of things.

I ain't dead yet, but fair enough. They were purchased when I first started and didn't really know any better.

I don't know where you heard 30 days...??? Fresh brand name pens have a 56 week shelf life and they start off at a lower purity than what we get. They don't add any kind of preservatives either . So...

I wouldn't hesitate to work out of a vial for 3 months. Just make sure it's kept at a steady temp in your fridge, doesn't freeze, doesn't get left out for an hour when you fill syringes.

Edit: And for that matter.. if it was 3 months old and you were worried about bacteria, you could spend $3 to filter it into a new sterile vial and go another x months.

Bump it to .5

I'll trade you my 12.5mg vials for your 30's, then you won't have to feel bad, lol jk

Sema has a 5 day half life - that's why it wans at day 4/5. I'm honestly a bit shocked you are getting any help at all from .25mg!

I went 3 weeks on each dose and didn't notice any help at all until I hit 1mg.. then experienced what you are - about 4 days of help.

Don't be in a rush to increase your dose if it's working for you! If you are getting adequate help for 4 days on .25mg, I'd say try another .25 3-4 days out from first dose. Milk that low dose as long as you can! Then it will take longer to work up to the full dose and you'll hopefully reach your goal before you have to switch or add something else.

I don't think it ever lasted a full 7 days for me, I was always eating more and snacking on days 6-7.

15 months later I'm up to 3.5mg weekly with .75mg cagri 3 and 5 days after.

I've stalled twice... First time cagri broke my stall, second time I increased from 2.4 to 3mg, then to 3.5mg and that broke it.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.

I saw on various sites that you should aim to use your reconstituted peptides within 28 or 30 days. But I did not plan on following that guidance from the start.

Regarding the dose, I am getting super hungry now. I don't think 0.25 is working for me anymore, and I need to up my dose. I think I will go to 0.5 and give it 7 days, but if I notice cravings, I might do it every 5 days.

Did you have any side effects from any dose you took? I personally don't know anyone who's taking 3.5 Sema, so I'm very curious how you feel about that dose.

Also, I was thinking about something else. I will be getting new vials from another supplier. Should I start with a lower dose just to gauge how I'm going to feel, or should I take new vials with my current actual dose? Thoughts?

Buying 30mg vials when you’re on max dose of 2.4mg is also silly.

I’m surprised they even make Sema that big.

30 days is best practices for reconstituted vials.

Pens aren’t the same.

I had some cramping once I hit 2mg, but as the months went on, it got to the point where I didn't have any issues and eventually felt like it wasn't working, so I increased the dose until it started working again.

I have a high tolerance for most meds and my tolerance builds fast. Almost everything I've ever taken stops working within a year and I have to increase the dose.

I would not start over or cut back with a new vendor, but I always recon based on the test results, not what the vial is claimed to be. The 12.5mg I have were sold as 10mg, but testing showed 12.5.

I guess it depends on where you buy from though.. how they run their testing, and if you can trust the results.

I had sema from a domestic vendor that was most definitely under filled to maybe 3/4 of the test they showed me. I now use gb's who randomly test vials from the product received... I don't trust a vendor showing me a test - it's way too easy to send something from a different batch.

I use gb's who spend $150-200k/month with the same vendor - giving the vendor 2 million reasons a year to make good on what they supply.

Imagine if somebody shared a vial with loved one.
If I didn't already have a bunch, I would have got some 30's. Got 2 people here on sema - one on 3.5/week, another on 2.5/week. I recon three 12.5mg at a time and filter into a 5ml vial.

I don't know who you've been talking to, but the majority of people I've talked to over the last 8 months run 2-3 months out of a recon'd vial, and I've talked with several others, including vendors who have been doing this for decades, who use stuff that's been in the fridge for 6 months without issue.

I found that my home-grown pencillin doesn't work unless it has at least a little mold in it.

I lost most of my weight in the beginning on .25 sema and was on that dose for 4-5 months.

I'm entirely envious!!

It's taken me 15 months to drop 60#. Though I'm disabled with severe chronic pain. Had this stuff been around when I was able-bodied and working 60-70 hours a week, I'd prob be anorexic, lol.

Congratulations! I am SO sorry about your condition. I hope you find some pain free days...

Don't be. I had about 40-50 to lose. I lost the first 25 on that dose. I SLOWLY lost another 10.. over YEARS. I have been on Ozempic for three years now. I am here because I need to do something different. I am maxed out on 2.4mg which I take Sunday. I have been taking 6mg tirz Weds (not working.. either AR's stuff sucks or I have a high tolerance at this point). I gradually bumped from 2mg as I was never sick on sema. I just may be lucky and not get sick on GLP-1s.

I am having some thyroid issues and started meds. Gained 5 lbs. and I am out of my mind atm. I told myself I am going to get through the holidays and this weeks business trip without worrying about this shit... start new on Monday. I am bumping to 7.5 next week just to see if different tirz works ( I have a few vials of TCI and Nexa now). If not, the following week I will go to 10mg. I also have some Cagri to add, or some teso... or some SLU. 🤣

I have been doing a ton of research, reading and asking questions before I do anything or add anything on January 20th. I have some decisions to make.

The beginning of this journey was EASY.

The beginning of this journey was EASY.

I was able to break a stall with cagri, but if I take too much it just wipes me out the next day.

I'm currently working on a switch to Reta and up to 4mg for 2nd week. Once I start noticing the reta kicking in, I'll reduce/drop the sema and/or cagri. I do get a bit of energy from it for like 2 days after dosing, but 4mg just isn't enough.

This stuff is weird... Low doses work for some, and others end up using Tirz, Sema, Reta, and Cagri all at the same time. Sounded crazy to me when I was fresh and first heard it, but I'm seeing it now.

Another thing I've heard people try is 2-3 months off, then start over. I'm afraid I'd gain 10# a month if I did that. But after 3 years, you might find it resets your receptors.

I hope you get the thyroid issue worked out, that can cause a variety of issues. It's a never ending battle... as soon as we fix one thing, 2 others break.

As for the pain, I've been working with a guy who has 10x the issues I do. Surgeries on ever level from top to bottom. He's on like 12 peptides, lol. I started TB/BPC 6 weeks ago and it's really helped a lot. About to add DSIP and then a few others to see if I can knock out some pain.

If I can get skinny and kill the pain, I'd gladly stick myself 20 times a day with double doses... Forever! It sure beats the alternative.

But I get it - it depends on where you are in life, in your journey, what you have to lose, etc.

I've already lost everything, lol and back when I was active in addiction, I used a lot more than others. If that didn't take me out, I'm not afraid of peptides.

I saw the 30mg vials and wondered how people were using them. Like it's a family pack in case multiple people in the household are using it (joking of course don't share vials?) I think I saw a study of higher semaglutide dosages so there might be people going over 2.4mg. Cost wise it makes the most sense. Maybe crack one open and split the powder into 2?

The chef is on 3.5mg, and it looks like people are using them for 3+ months if stored properly.
Honestly, I don't get why people don't share the vial with family. If you wipe the vial before and follow sterile procedures, what can possibly be the issue?
I don't see any issues with preparing two injections instead of one, but maybe I'm missing something.

You aren't missing anything. If you are wiping with alcohol and drawing with a new needle/syringe, it doesn't matter who it goes into. You could share a vial with 5 people and it makes no difference whatsoever.

Unless you live with Oyster - then you may want your own vial - and keep it locked up 🤣🤣🤣.

I haven't been in here for a while and don't know where all this nonsense is coming from, but from this limited interaction, there seems to be some misinformation floating around in here. It makes me wonder what else is floating around...

No worries - always up for a good SMH session.

There does seems to be some newer highly educated peeps though - far beyond my knowledge. I just spew what I've read 5000 times and what I've experienced. Not a chemist and don't understand a lot of things... but spent a ridiculous amount of time researching and talking to people.

What makes me cringe are things like when someone who clearly knows what they are talking about comes in and says something, then 10 people attack them for things unrelated to the topic, pick shit apart, stir up drama, try to chase them off.

The whole cagri fibril ogli whatever issue is intriguing. I use it and would like to be safe, but the few intelligent people who really know their shit can't seem to get together and discuss it like adults... It's 10 meaningful posts scattered among 300 shit-talking posts.

I've been spending most of my time in the discord servers, helping people, learning, chatting with Anela and others like her... People with many years of expereince with this stuff. It's disheartening to come here and see misinformation about the low level basics. I prefer civil discussions and a lot of the servers will boot your ass out for drama, misinfo, or other bs.. so it's a lot less BS and I dont have to fight off attacks.

I'm also working on learning to cultivate and forage for medicinal mushrooms. I'm taking some classes this spring to get certified/permitted to sell wild mushrooms to restaurants, setting up a mushroom server so I can sell tinctures/extracts/capsules/dried culinary and medicinal mushrooms... and help people with choosing the right blend of mushrooms for their needs. It's quite fascinating as they have been used for thousands of years by the Asian countries for medicine and nutrition. You can make your own antibiotics, prevent cancer, restore your gut, fight inflammation, gain energy, treat anxiety/depression... Their benefits are closely tied in with the peptides, you don't have to inject them, and the only thing gray about them is their color, lol. 100% legit, with 1 exception - but I won't be selling those kind - just eating them!

I completely agree with you about mushrooms! Mycology is fascinating. I forage for wild mushrooms and grow a variety on my own. It’s amazing how little time and effort has been invested in researching fungi, especially considering how many species remain unidentified.

I have been hanging out on Discord a bunch as well.

Please let me/us know about your other endeavors.. especially of you set up a server! I remember (I think) you were talking about going to a farm or weekend retreat (?) to learn more... I would be interested to learn more as well...

Server is up! I have more to add, some edits to make, and a LONG way to go.

My first class is Jan 30, but it will be a year or 2 before I'm able to reap a harvest and make my own extracts.

In the meantime, I'm sourcing extract from the farm and offering custom blends in capsules. Very small profit margin for the first year to build clients, get the word out and learn more.

As with peptides, I'm supplying education on each mushroom. People can research them and decide what they would like in their blend.

The blend I'm taking contains: Turkey Tail, Lions Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Shiitake, and Maitake... 2 capsules a day, each capsule is 1/2 gram of extract (about 33 cents per capsule). Then I have Chaga capsules that I will take 1 month on, 1 month off. Chaga contains high levels of oxalates and my contact at the farm suggested cycling Chaga monthly. I have no problem defering to the experts advice and admitting I'm not an expert!

I don't mind taking the time to help people figure out what blend is best for them, it helps me learn more, and I can consult my contact at the farm. But until I learn more, I'm not much more knowledgeable than the info I posted on the server.

I think this is the perfect crowd for this sort of thing... Most seem to enjoy research and deciding for themselves what is best.

I will say that my mental clarity/focus, and gut health have been vastly improved! TMI - my digestion is regular - almost daily, where the peps and other meds I take had limited that to 1-2 times a week. The lack of glp1 bloating/constipation is a nice change! I can't really "feel" the anti-cancer effects but I trust the science and 2000+ years of Asian medicine!

I just wish the psily's were legal! They have shown tremendous help in recent years, mainly for mental illness such as anxiety/depression, but also seem to erase opiate withdrawal. They could be a powerful tool during the opiate crisis! Shame! Might add a channel for that - just for educational purposes, but I won't be selling them. I'm keeping this 100% legal!
