And now, after only being here a short time, I have more than a year's worth of gray market peptide in my freezer. And it works well. I've been surprised just how well over the last week.

I only found this place because of frustration with reddit's mounjaro sub, so I came here to post a rant about US health insurance, which was probably out of place. I was buying everything at my local pharmacy like a proper normie. And while I could stretch the budget, it was not an ideal allocation of funds. Especially since being a T2D, my meds should have been covered.

To sum up, since I started mounjaro, I've dropped 40lbs, and I'm only 15lbs from my goal weight. That's not to say I won't lose more, but we'll see how it goes.

In any case, I'll keep it short and say I'm very glad I stumbled on this place. Thanks, everyone!

Was it step therapy or a formulary change or something else preventing the T2D Mounjaro coverage?

The first rejection said I hadn't tried a high enough dose metformin (which I had a couple years prior, and I sent them documentation for that), but it got cut down when I went on Jardiance. The Jardiance started being less effective, but AIC wasnt currently high enough by their standards (even though it had been in the past). So I just started buying mounjaro out of pocket. Once I did that, my blood sugar was perfect, and no way I'd ever meet their criteria.
