Room temp vs refrigeration may have a lot to do with the gelling/crystallizing.
I'll ignore the condescending, because I know it's just your way 🙂 and I've always tried to show you respect on this forum. Understand that saying "it's never caused me an ISR" doesn't mean that it doesn't for lots of other people. It's known in the Korean beauty circles to raise up painful welts. I hear it more often than not. Some people get welts and isr's from mots-c, some don't. Doesn't mean they're doing it wrong.
The reason I test it--I'm prepping it for my daughter who is pretty fragile health-wise, with zero fat on her body, so the reaction and welts have led me to test and buffer as much as I can. Also, when it's painful and burns like a m-f'er she'll be less likely to do it.
I was responding to someone's question with my experience, was not in the least trying to challenge yours.
