I just took my first dose of tirz, 2.5 mg, and I plan on doing the recommended dosing of 2.5, 5, and 7.5 for 4 weeks each. At what amount is a therapeutic dose reached with this product?

Also, I am nauseous, when does that subside?

If you're nauseous, you should take a lower dose and don't increase it until it goes away.

Depends on your body and your goal. Some people don't need to titrate up at all...or titrate up to the higher doses. A lot of people do well on micro or small doses which help to mitigate side effects. I started with 250 mcg 1 x week...then 500 mcg....then switched to 300mcg every day. It took a little longer to see results but it was gentle on the system. Inflammation (goal) is way down and I am losing weight (not goal).

5 mg is considered the lowest therapeutic dose of tirzepatide .

To reduce nausea, drink water and eat small, healthy meals on the regular. Don't go without eating, even if your appetite is surpressed and you have none of the familiar food noise. Is it causing those effects for you at 2.5mg?

It’s not automatic—the right dose is different for everyone. If you’re eating well, staying hydrated, adding exercise, and losing weight at a steady (not rapid) pace with little to no side effects, there’s no need to increase. The goal with any therapy is to use the lowest effective dose to achieve results.
