Yes this is what I've been reading.. Instead of having a break I've just added Tirz to my high dose of Reta..I have my last few stubborn KGs to loose.. I'm thinking if I have a break, second time around it'll be pointless..Following. I’ve heard for some it never gives them the same suppression after they’ve stopped and restarted, and for others they do.
Same..I've decided just to add Tirzapzide to my Retatutide, but ultimately at one point I'll either have to drop to maintenance dose or have a break..So far there's mixed Opinions..I’m interested to see if anyone has direct experience with this.
I’ve been on Sema (.2/wk) and Reta (.7/wk) with no intention of coming off at any point. Would you consider lowering to your starting dose again so you don’t have to suffer the same acclimation symptoms? When you get a prescription they make you start over if you’ve been off for 5 weeks which leads me to believe that’s the point at which the stacked half-lives are fully depleted.Anyone been on a high dose of Tirz or Reta, then it slowed down and you took a break to 'reset'?
If so how long was it for,and did it work??
Why such low doses of both though? Wouldn't it be better to Tirate up one first?I’ve been on Sema (.2/wk) and Reta (.7/wk) with no intention of coming off at any point. My BMI is 20 and I find it hard to gain weight already. I’m microdosing to suppress the activation of microglia and astrocytes, as well as the neuroprotective mechanisms like synaptic plasticity and enhancing the expression of BDNF. I also like the accelerated wound healing and anti-inflammation. I tried .5-1mg Sema and 1-2mg Reta at one point, lost 13 lbs in under a month and looked like I was starving to death. I also lost all my energy, bad combo. Why such low doses of both though? Wouldn't it be better to Tirate up one first?
Yes I'm on Grays..I've actually added Tirz to my Reta and it's getting the last few KG off after a stall. Don't think I'll break now,Mabye just maintain for a bit then drop down to a loser dose of Tirz only..If it helps I couldn’t afford the brand name stuff before finding out about gray for about 4 months. Was at 15mg and then stopped. Gained about 20 lbs from the 40 I lost and started again at 2.5mg and noticed that it worked well with getting rid of food noise, but I didn’t get the sulfur burps I did in the past. On 5mg now after 4 weeks and everything is working, just less side effects compared to when I first started.
Yeh I've read these too. I've now added Tirz to the reta and it's breaking through the plateau.. Once I've hit my goal I'll drop the reta and maintain with Tirz...For how long I'm undecided..Mabye a year...But I'm going to avoid a break....I read about people on reddit saying very different things; some went off because they had to and when they tried to resume at same dose had a really horrible over reaction.
Several other people said this also happened to them, some went to the ER. Other people went off and then went back and had no effect at all. Like it didnt work anymore.
Either way, I would avoid taking a break until I was at my goal.
What's the plan long term? Surely you can't go up much more now??I absolutely hate the way Retatrutide makes me feel. The RHR was like a panic attack and anything I ate made me sick. Like I was being punished. I tried switching from Tirz and it was so bad that I went back and now I’m taking 20mg and feel great. Zero complications. As far as stopping and starting, I still had to increase to suppress my appetite but it’s well worth it.
I appreciate your post. I believe that you will likely be successful. My rationale for typing that is that you make it clear that - IMO - you are highly aware of - what I consider to be - the most important aspect of this whole lifestyle - a very clear, focused, detailed, ongoing plan - not simply "I'll inject this stuff and fat will fall off." I know that my RS reacts far better overall and over time with a fully holistic plan and goals past Goal Weight. Here are my thoughts (no experience with it yet, just my thoughts and what I’m doing):
I’ve been taking 2–4 mg of Tirz while on TRT for 3 months now. It’s worked very well for me — I’m looking extremely cut. I don’t say that to brag; I’ve worked hard in the gym for years and had a lot of muscle covered by 22% body fat (DEXA). I’m now at 12% body fat.
That leads me to my point on the physique goals side of things:
I believe this should all be based on DEXA body fat percentage. So here’s what I’m doing — once I’m at 9% body fat (around January 1st), I’ll taper off and refeed my body with maintenance calories +300–400. (Macros matter — I meal plan.)
I’ll do this for 3 months while running an anabolic steroid cycle (Test and Deca I get from a doc). Pretty safe overall. I’m 45 years old, and this phase will require eating a lot, so I won’t be worrying about hunger. After 3 months, I’ll be around 12–15% body fat, but…
- I’ll have more lean mass on my frame — let’s go! 😎
- I’ll have been off GLPs for 3 months.
Then I’ll start back up with Reta and do a slow, steady cut back to 10% body fat for summer, maintaining it with what I think will be around 2 mg of Reta per week.
This lets me take a break when I would want to eat more of the right foods anyways.
Edit: I wanted to say i plan to do this for years while the labs give me a green light to do so.
So i would be tapering on and off using GLPs 2 times a year at low dosing.
*Im strict with my diet,
Maybe in a few months I will titrate down to find the sweet spot for maintenance or stay here. I exceeded my goal weight a few times. I just keep changing the goal post and setting new, higher standards for myself. What's the plan long term? Surely you can't go up much more now??
