Or if the doctor gave her too much too soon. I wish I had saved the study that someone else posted a while back that showed the rate of people who quit taking a GLP1 at what dose and how early. It basically showed that a whole lot of people where being given the max dose in their first week by their doctors. Surprise those people had problems. There’s no way for me to not broadcast, unfortunately, my using of it or other gear. I’ve jumped up and down powerlifting weight classes for years. It’s just too obvious but I’ve always been happy to tell people about myself and what I do if they ask. Nicely.
we are being extra judged- like hey girl- why you still fat right now when you can afford a solution”
It's not the most unreasonable thought to have, but at the same time, it is weird to assume someone else can afford the "solution", especially when you're talking about "legit" sources rather than grey market.
That said, I do think people do need to just mind their own business. If someone isn't on GLP-1s, then they have a reason. Might not be one I agree with in every case, but it's not my body in the end.
This idea that the only true and honest way to weight loss is through punishing hours in the gym is a ludicrous one.Hi all!
I am having an interesting spiral of thoughts right now.. I see so many people online saying GLP1s are 'cheating'.
But lets be real. How is it cheating if it isn't a game? This is life. This is my health and my journey in taking back my body and being able to live the healthy life I should have been living all along.
GLP-s aren't cheating. You can only see it as cheating if you see weight loss as a competition. And that is an issue you need to look into yourself for, I understand you did it the 'traditional' way, but then why don't we view other medications for life changing disorders as cheating?
Be real. You are jealous that now you are losing the 'game' that you have created in your head, because there is now a tool for others to reach the health they need. Lets uplift each other, this is an amazing journey, and the first step is knowing that you need to lose weight to take back your health.
Thank you for coming to my TEDTALK 😆
I sorta love this and may borrow it.Exactly, and if this is cheating, then so is flying to NYC instead of driving. (metaphor by my doctor)
Don't you think the gym work=results fits the concept of CICO?I've finally lost enough so that people I haven't seen for a bit notice. My default reply when they ask how is "Drugs". I enjoy the shock value. My wife thinks its hilarious how I dgaf about telling people.
Most inevitably chuckle and then make a comment about how they need to work out.
I'm curious as to how the fitness industry/food industry has fooled everyone into thinking that gym work is the key to weight loss vs consumption.
Yeah it is CICO but I think the big "lie" is the sheer amount of work per double cheeseburger is mindblowing. I just feel like people in general have zero idea how much cardio or strength training or anything is equivalent to a calorie. Their entire gym session that they feel good about wiped out by 2 mountain dews.Don't you think the gym work=results fits the concept of CICO?
If you're an American, the "success only through hard work" mindset is our national mantra (and it's false at every level) of Rugged Individualism and the "self made man". It's what we know. Anything else is cheating. Flat out.
(I reject the cheating concept in its entirety)
Here is one reason for itDon't you think the gym work=results fits the concept of CICO?

It's fecking disgusting. Here is one reason for it
For the record Coca cola has been promoting this mindset since at least the 80s.
Most definitely people have no clue what it takes to burn whatever they're ingesting. They also don't realize it is 80% what a person eats and 20% movement.Yeah it is CICO but I think the big "lie" is the sheer amount of work per double cheeseburger is mindblowing. When someone asks I always tell them the easiest way to lose 10lbs is really really simple. Just track all the things you consume. Don't even have to try to eat less, the sheer act of connecting the calorie amount to the things you put in your body will make you eat less. They look at me like I have a 2nd head. Then start talking about 10k steps......

Most people who assume anything PED related is 'cheating'
probably my least popular take here is the fact that I do lump GLP's in with other peptides, RCs and ultimately gear - from the perspective of harm reduction/education of risk. (obviously the degree is different, Im totally comfortable saying that Tirz is safer than Winstrol or Halo LOL) Either way youre using a foreign substance to optimize your body's performance to achieve a more desirable outcome than it would on its own. But I also dont ascribe a morality level to any of it that would make one good or bad.My 2 bits, I think it’s the media. Any athlete penalized for using them gets a headline. The general public tends to think in sound bites and black-and-white. Mr. Garrison says, “PEDs are bad, mmkay?” And I believe that’s where the thinking stops.
Train of thought is closer to: Being jealous of a doper is akin to being jealous of a fent addict, preposterous. They’re actively harming themselves, how can a person be jealous of that? No fear or jealousy involved. Maybe it’s ignorance = lack of knowledge. Or lack of curiosity to draw them in.
Which means it’s similar to grey, maybe that’s your point. Not everyone is going to choose that path and it’s probably for the better.
Is using GLP-1s on the same plane as doping? Not in my world. That and $2 will get you a coffee many places.
Every medicine we have is introducing a foreign substance to optimize the body's performance. Heck, if you think about food and water is doing that too.probably my least popular take here is the fact that I do lump GLP's in with other peptides, RCs and ultimately gear - from the perspective of harm reduction/education of risk. hit it on the head with the media. as usual, probably our greatest achilles as a society. oft trusted to do a lot of thinking for the individual instead of a provocation to do more thinking.
but to clarify, I dont think theyre jealous of usage as much as they would be of result. regardless of the emotion, I do think the skepticism probably denotes maybe a decision-making or critical thinking inability that leaves the individual better off not exploring alternative supplements.
This is true! Karen's and Kenneth's who deem themselves some kind of moral arbiter will judge you for being fat just as intensely as they would for 'being vain' and lifting weights or for 'taking drugs' LOL.Every medicine we have is introducing a foreign substance to optimize the body's performance. Heck, if you think about food and water is doing that too.
Fact is that some people are just shitty human beings and will judge you about something no matter what you do.
