GLP-1s 'cheating' OR a TOOL

There’s no way for me to not broadcast, unfortunately, my using of it or other gear. I’ve jumped up and down powerlifting weight classes for years. It’s just too obvious but I’ve always been happy to tell people about myself and what I do if they ask. Nicely.
Or if the doctor gave her too much too soon. I wish I had saved the study that someone else posted a while back that showed the rate of people who quit taking a GLP1 at what dose and how early. It basically showed that a whole lot of people where being given the max dose in their first week by their doctors. Surprise those people had problems.

Even my husband was started off at double the beginning dose. If I hadn't already gone through the process with my mother I wouldn't have known. I was able to ensure that he only took .25 mg instead of .5 mg for those first 4 weeks.

we are being extra judged- like hey girl- why you still fat right now when you can afford a solution”

Yep. Judgy-McJudgerson is exactly where it’s heading. GLPs are in my neighborhood, and it’s like the South Park episode. Talk is: “Who’s on what, and why can’t my husband get prescribed?”

It’s been .. interesting.

It's not the most unreasonable thought to have, but at the same time, it is weird to assume someone else can afford the "solution", especially when you're talking about "legit" sources rather than grey market.

That said, I do think people do need to just mind their own business. If someone isn't on GLP-1s, then they have a reason. Might not be one I agree with in every case, but it's not my body in the end.

Yes to all of this.

For the general Rx market, it depends on income brackets. The “haves” will have it. They will ferret out where. If not an Rx then the spa that compounds will get word of mouth marketing.

It’s funny how gray just smears the class/income line. Yes people should MTOB.

It will become the new Botox in certain circles. Meaning: assumed that everyone has had a little. Like orthodontic braces.

Hi all!

I am having an interesting spiral of thoughts right now.. I see so many people online saying GLP1s are 'cheating'.

But lets be real. How is it cheating if it isn't a game? This is life. This is my health and my journey in taking back my body and being able to live the healthy life I should have been living all along.

GLP-s aren't cheating. You can only see it as cheating if you see weight loss as a competition. And that is an issue you need to look into yourself for, I understand you did it the 'traditional' way, but then why don't we view other medications for life changing disorders as cheating?

Be real. You are jealous that now you are losing the 'game' that you have created in your head, because there is now a tool for others to reach the health they need. Lets uplift each other, this is an amazing journey, and the first step is knowing that you need to lose weight to take back your health.

Thank you for coming to my TEDTALK 😆
This idea that the only true and honest way to weight loss is through punishing hours in the gym is a ludicrous one.

If you are obese and want to not be obese, whatever long-term solution works for you is the best solution. Typically, obesity brings with it a host of cocommitant health issues and creates higher risk of cancer.

I don't listen to the noise that tells me I am cheating. After a lifetime of being HWP, I doubled in size after a brutal assault by the person who immediately became my ex-partner. I stumbled upon GLP-1 medication via dx of an obesity-related chronic illness. I am, again, of healthy body size and my chronic illness is in remission. Let's keep it that way.

Really, no one else has any say in how I manage my health except my doctor. Any person who thinks they do is sorely mistaken and will be advised accordingly.

Wishing everyone huge success in their journeys.
