  1. Finally took the leap- starting my Reta journey

I was on tirz at lower dosage and tried to change to reta with 1 mg per week but hunger almost made me eat myself so I added tirz again. I am now going to 2,5 mg of reta and titrate 4 weeks later. If meanwhile hunger suppression really kicks hard I will drop Tirz and stay on Reta

Finally took the leap- starting my Reta journey

I started at 1mg for 2 weeks ( was concerned about heart rate increase.) On sema my RHR went from 50's to 72 so was worried that Reta would make it even higher! No increase in RHR on 1mg so went to 2 mg after 2 weeks. I did 2 mg for 4 weeks then 4 mg for 4 weeks and now up to 6 mg. My RHR gets...

Did you titrate quickly or slowly?

I started on 1 mg for 2 weeks ( my RHR increased from 50's to 72 on sema and was dreading what Reta might do!) Reta hasn't impacted my heart rate very much ( 60-62) so went upto 2 mg and then followed normal titration. Up to 6 mg now. Starting to see some weight loss at this dose and if at 4...

Hi! Not new to peptides but semi- new here!

Hi all. I'm a 46 year old female from Texas! The beginning of 2024 a friend sold me some unused Ozempic pens- I was doing a deep dive of alternative options during the couple of months I was using them. March 2024 I was confident enough to start with domestic grey peptides ( bypassed the...

Stacking from the big 3+ ?

Reta does increase HR/RHR. I do not and have never tried Reta because I have heart issues. Imo, I feel that you just might be happy taking tirz. It's a wonderful med and you can mix the two or just transition into taking tirz alone. I've been on tirz for 8 months and have stacked sema to break...
  6. Hey Everyone👋🏾

Okay. Thank you! Yes, I will probably stick with Sema as it has not caused me any problems and been great with the food noise.

    Hey Everyone👋🏾

I have read about many people doing it and it seems quite common, although if sema is working it is also common that people recommend continuing if you don't have to change and saving a change for when you might stall. Also, as I understand it, sema has more food noise silencing ability than...

    Tirz

There are many opinions on this, I am sure a few will post here. Having not tried Reta, but having had success with Tirz, I would say you might not even need to up dose. There are weeks when you will feel hungry and they will go away, weeks where you will plateau and then you will lose again...

Snowbird from SoCal about to head North

Many people go the Sema to Reta route, I think it is common to taper sema while adding if you are going a full switch- Some are concerned that they experience higher RHR, so be watchful of that, certainly it has greater results in tests than sema for total weight loss. If the Sema is working it...
  10. Heart racing from Reta

Not for everyone it doesn't. One size definitely doesn't fit all in this arena. Reta spiked my rate to ~125 after only 2 hrs. after my first dose, and it took 4 weeks after stopping to return to my normal 68-70. Started Tirz then at 2.5, have advanced to 7.5 every 5 days and and Surv2 3 days...

    Heart racing from Reta

Tirz (and all GLP-1s for that matter) increase RHR. This increase might just be caused by Tirz. I was looking at my historical RHR, and I do have +20 or 30 bpms over my original pre-GLP numbers. I did have to stop my betablocker because my blood pressure went down, so that could also explain it...
  12. Heart racing from Reta

I stacked Tirz and Reta, I was on 9.5mg Tirz and 2.5mg Reta. My RHR used to be 70ish before any GLP-1s. A couple weeks ago it was up to 95. I stopped Reta 2 weeks ago to see what would happen. RHR is still over 90.
  13. Heart racing from Reta

I guess everyone is different. When I started my RHR was 94. 8 1/2 months later and on 12mg Reta my RHR is 78. I've never experienced any racing. I know it is anecdotal, but these meds really do have a range of effects on different people. You don't know until you experiment on yourself.

    Heart racing from Reta

I guess the key it's what is your resting HR. Mine is 80-90 range. All glps increase hr but reta is the worst apparently. Tirz got my RHR to 110 today and I'm not having any fun. Can't even imagine what reta would do to me.
  15. If you were a newb... would you start with Tirz or Reta first?

Yep. It wasn't fun. One thing I was recommended to try with the Tirz after a few weeks was add 1mg of Survo 3 days after every Tirz. Adds more GLP-1 and Glucagon which makes it work a lot like Reta without the cardiac side effect and helps with the food noise. Absolutely happy with that so far...

If you were a newb... would you start with Tirz or Reta first?

My RHR is average 80s. That is scary to have that high a jump..
  17. If you were a newb... would you start with Tirz or Reta first?

Yes, but didn't locate exactly what I was looking for. I located general information about Reta raising HR and RHR but that is about it. Maybe I'm not finessing the search filters good enough.

I have Afib with RVR. What has been your experience been with increased heartrate from Reta?

I wasn't concerned initially concerned about Reta & increased heart rate but now I'm wondering. I plan on starting my Reta soon, but kind of concerned since my RHR is average between 86-90. I may have to re- evaluate.

I have Afib with RVR. What has been your experience been with increased heartrate from Reta?

I had atrial flutter before a cardiac ablation back in May, started Tirz in late-July it raised my HR about 10bpm on average. In Feb, I did a slow swap from Tirz to Reta and just went to 5mg reta and last small dose of Tirz was three weeks ago. My non-RHR seems to be 5-10bpm higher this week...
  20. I have Afib with RVR. What has been your experience been with increased heartrate from Reta?

I saw a suggestion on another discussion to do the Tirz, which has a light GLP-1 and a strong GIP , but no GCG agonist. Then add on a small dose of Survo which has a strong GLP-1, no GIP, and a good GCG, and no RHR side effects. Interesting.

    Heart Rate increase on Tirz

Yes, increased RHR in tirzepatide (and all GLP1s for that matter) is a known side effect. Here's a slide from the SURMOUNT-1 3 year extension study. it gets better over time (stabilizes / decreases). Reta appears to be worse, but I don't have any hard data to share.

    Heart Rate increase on Tirz

Tirz increased my RHR, but Reta increased it more. Still like reta and use it.

I have Afib with RVR. What has been your experience been with increased heartrate from Reta?

I was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter (similar to AFIB) in Jan-24 which basically caused high heart rate (in the 160's) for a few hours at a time. I had a bunch of testing done by my cardiologist and basically my plumbing was fine but my electrical system wasn't. Treated with Nebivolol 2.5mg and...

I have Afib with RVR. What has been your experience been with increased heartrate from Reta?

Mine sits in the low 90s on reta. I wouldn't want to get into the triple digits, but my RHR was high even when I was playing soccer/basketball/etc. and had great cardio back in my youth.

I have Afib with RVR. What has been your experience been with increased heartrate from Reta?

I swapped to Reta in December. It still increases my RHR by around 10-12ish bpm. Nebivolol has not made an impact on it, despite me hoping it would. It doesn't seem to do much to my maximum HR during exercise - that has been the same before/after. In the studies it seemed to abate after 4-6...
  26. Elevated rhr

I was on metoprolol after my heart attack but it caused ed. Doctor switched me to atenol and I’ve been fine since.
  27. GimmeABreak

    Elevated rhr

I am also taking a beta blocker, metoprolol 25mg 2x a day. From what I have read a BB will not help lower RHR from the reta as reta raises through a different channel, but it does help you lower your baseline.
  28. Elevated rhr

Been taking Reta since mid November and have lost 30lbs and the experience has been amazing. The only thing I was worried about was the elevated rhr as I had a heart attack in August. Doing some research I started taking taurine, and wow that stuff works fast, 82bpm to 72bpm after the first day...

    Retas effects on sleep?

I've always had trouble sleeping through the night, but on reta my RHR is up and my HRV is down, so sleep score suffers for me because of that.

GYC shipping vials with zero peptides detected

Yep. Reta injections move my RHR up around 8 hours post injection.
  31. Average daily calorie intake on high doses of Tirz or Reta?

Eye-catching impressive work. Well done 💪 Did you notice a rise in RHR after switching to reta compared to tirz?
  32. What's the Best GLP-1 to purchase that has the least Side effects

My research on reta confirms elevated average and RHR as well.

What's the Best GLP-1 to purchase that has the least Side effects

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10548186/ It is consistently reported in studies that tirzepatide can increase RHR.

Yes, I'm a noob with lurking tendencies 😬

That's what I'm worried about. Mine increased about 5-10 bpm on tirz. From what I read Survo doesn't have that effect.

Yes, I'm a noob with lurking tendencies 😬

Tirz increased my RHR by about 5 bpm but it has not been an issue with me so im still with it - I heard reta has a similar effect. Theres a couple of good threads on here with other folks experiences with reta w/r/t heart rate, might want to check them out!
