I agree with this strategy, and by the case, if i use 1 per month that is a 2 year supply. Divided by 104 weeks, it is not much per week and I don't mind tossing a heavily pinned vial even if not empty. It really is an incidental cost in the scheme of things, even at the higher rate.

After I noticed this once I started twisting and pushing with fingers back to ensure it did not protrude side if bent at all. There was a post about using bent needles that it could break inside you or vials, so if bent at all I will NOT pin with it. They are cheap, I would rather start over.

I have some of our members describe Tirz as the cockroach of peps... I have seen Jano quotes stating it can last years in a garage with minor degradation.. I would feel real comfortable personally, tossing it in a cooler. My understanding is significant temperature swings can be detrimental.
