I’m not really surprised, just posting my results so far.

10 weeks in, down 30lbs, but no change in last 13 days. Currently at 2.5mg

You lost a lot, fast - that's never going to be maintainable - solid jump start but you're at a low dose and have lots of room to escalate to get the scale moving again. good luck!

Thats a starting dose. Youre ready to titrate up. You knew this. Good job.

That's a LOT & still a low dose, so Amazing!! Congratulations!!

I'm also starting low & no where those type of results. About 4 weeks & lost only 3lbs

Great progress! If you’ve hit a plateau, the usual advice is to increase your dose but first consider whether you’re still experiencing good appetite suppression and if you can make better food choices or add more movement to your routine.

I thought I’d stalled at 7.5mg on Tirz when I didn’t lose anything in the first month, but by the second month at that dose, I was down about 10 pounds. Small adjustments can make a big difference. And remember, don’t chase crazy weight weight loss, everyone’s journey is different.

Numbers matter. What was your starting weight and current weight and what is your goal?

I was 30lbs overweight but after losing 25 lbs I stalled. It's harder to lose those last few but if you're like 300lbs, then that's a true I think and a titration may be in order.

Is it really a stall if you are still on a starting dose? Losing 15% on 2.5 mg of reta sounds about right , although the first 10 lbs are fairly likely to be fluid and your current stall is partly your body readjusting its fluid balance. If there is zero change to how much you are eating, you are actually probably still losing fat looking at that graph, as the rate of weight loss suddenly went to zero. But yeah, increase the dose.

In addition to all of the above, I am a fan of peptides with fasting guidelines, namely the GH peptides. After getting on a higher dose of reta, cagri makes sense too, especially if there are risk factors that make the GH peptides a bad idea.

To make a better judgement what is your macros?

Many people think they stall because when they start their TDEE is (numbers are fictional for discussion only) 2750 and they eat 1750 and lose 2.5lbs a week. As they lose weight their TDEE lowers to say 2250 and yet they eat 1750 a day. Without adjusting their macros as they lose weight they think they are in a stall when they simply need to adjust their intake.

So titrating up is only needed if the medicine is no longer effective. I would suggest you examine your macros first and then adjust medication 2nd.

First and foremost… congrats on the 30lbs!

You should increase the dose at this point. 2.5mg is just barely over the starting dose from the clinical trials. Also, start concentrating on non-scale wins… clothing fitting better and things. Your body composition is changing even if the scale isn’t moving.

Another thing to remember is that the less weight you are carrying, the harder you need to work to move the number on the scale down. I’ve lost 115lbs from my peak and have 90lbs to my goal. I FEEL so much better, but I’m no longer carrying around the extra weight so I am burning fewer calories with the same amount of activity. To keep the scale moving, I’ve needed to do more. That means either putting more time into the exercise or exercising more aggressively (adding weights, increasing speed, etc.).

Cheers!

Ryan

I’m sitting in a very similar area myself right now.

Deciding between limiting calories or increasing exercise. My diet has remained pretty consistent and my food suppression is still strong even at my baby dose of 1mg a week.

13 days is not a stall. Your brain is just adjusting to new weight, you lost a lot of weight in a short time. But you are on a low dose, so go lots of room to go up.

If you are only tracking weight, you're not really getting the full picture. A real stall is none of your body fat, your lean mass, or your waist measurements changing. I went through several weight stalls where both my body fat and my waist size decreased, but my lean mass increased. Those weren't stalls, they were just my body catching up with a new reality.
