Alabama Outlaws Peptides

Why not? This is not a place for politics or culture wars. If anything, this is a place free of all that and focuses on personal health goals. We should all connect on that.
I feel like minus the context, @catwitch sounds like they're asking that out of place and for no reason. So ONLY for the purpose of providing that context, a couple of people made some unnecessary remarks that would certainly make new people wonder that question. Others objected. @ZippityDooDah cleaned up the remarks AND the responses, and that question was not out of place at the time they asked it. They didn't just burst in asking that out of nowhere.

GLP-1s don't care about politics, religion, race, sexuality, or anything else. It's a shame people can't do the same here, or at least put aside their prejudices and ideological dogma and focus on the ways GLP-1s can benefit us all regardless of differences.

Exactly this. I felt it was important to answer the question, but it does stand out seemingly out-of-place without the context of the deleted unpleasantness of a few subtherapeutic morons.

@Airborne Daddy once said "Ten years max dose or gtfo." I laughed, thinking that sounded like so much. And then proceeded to slowly amass ten years max dose of tirz. And five of reta.
My first vial of T-60 cost me $800 from my clinic. Once i find out what are the prices on Grey market I started to accumulate like there isn’t tomorrow.

Some chiros and health spas give sell grey market peptides to their customers.
The customer has to sign a waiver indicating they know it is for research only use and not to hold the chiro or health spa responsible. Perhaps some small independent doctor's clinics do this as well.

This bill is, I do believe, is to stop that very practice.
You pegged it.

Quick question? Prescribing = grey market?
Did I say it did?

I posted this to point out the power these people have over the gov't. It may not affect you now but it may in the future if they have their way.

People can be pompous and say "well it won't affect the grey market cause they can't stop marijuana". Well Big Pharma doesn't have hundreds of millions of dollars invested in weed like they do peptides. Don't forget, EL bought a chinese peptide company. They ain't buying an interest in a mexican drug cartel though are they?

And let's not forget the hypocrisy here. People say they ain't worried about the grey market yet they stock up w/ 5 years of reta or tirz? Sounds like they are a little "concerned" to me.

Yeah, that's so weird. I wasn't aware that there were doctors out there actually prescribing "grey market" peptides.
Just about all about them do but you know they tell us on YouTube they to get it from their "compounders "<wink> and to avoid untested gray market peptides.

Unfortunately they don't disclose the fact that their compounders name is Lisa on WhatsApp

I know you aren’t addressing anyone specifically but yeah I have 4.3 years of Tirzepatide and I am not worried at this exact moment. I do see a time when enforcement increases and it becomes difficult to import peptides. My attitude is at least I won’t be paying those ridiculous retail prices for at least 4.3 years. So no hypocrisy just acknowledgment that things COULD change. Not with this law though.

Similar deal myself. I started learning more about Lilly, what they've done and what they're doing. Also how big. I saw a few in here that seemed to be "stocking up" (including you) and got me thinking. I'll soon have a little over 13 yrs of R.

Don't hate the player hate the game

It's just crony capitalism and corruption.

I keep remembering the entire Elizabeth Holmes thing and imagining a 'what if' scenario in which the lab testing scam thing. what would have happened if the thing really worked? The testing industry is probably getting close to a trillion dollars. Do you think if someone really came up with a legitimate version of that, that LabCorp and Quest would not find a way to shut it down?

The entire 'healthcare' establishment is so corrupt that the only way to fix it, is something dramatically disruptive. Just something like 'certificate of need' tells you all you need to know.

I Hate to tell people this because I know how much people love to hate on the 'tech bros', but the tech bros are going to be the ones to set us free from these corrupt industries who are in bed with our all benevolent ruling class. That and we the people deciding that we are adults and the FDA are not our parents. What happened to 'my body, my choice'? That went down the drain really fast.

In order to build an 8 billion dollar facility in Huntsville Eli Lilly demanded the new law. I'll post the legal announcement in a bit.

Yeah, and they have an entire army of lobbyists to send to Montgomery to actually write that law. You didn't think the congress critters were going to do any real work did you? Do they make an auto pen for writing laws? I guess Grok can write that up in a few seconds to that no one can really understand it and make it as clear as mud.

Do you ever get used to the GI disruption on Tirz? I'm on sub lowest dose and am completely miserable on the day of and next day after my injection, 5 weeks now. I may just be one of the few percentile that cannot tolerate it.

Looks like its just outlawed to prescribe them, but not to order and use them for personal use?
Figured much. If you want to stretch the law then I guess all peptide companies who are not affiliated with any medical institution can simply avoid the "outlaw"

It got better for me after about 8 weeks. Just don't try to titrate up at all until the side effects are manageable. Zofran got me through the worst of it the first 48 hours and then Miralax everyday for the other issue. Oral NMNH(NAD+) helped with low energy. I was worried too since I had about 10 years worth of tirz in my freezer. I am 4 months in now and up to 5mg and feel really good, even on shot day now.

Thanks, that's good to hear. My Dr. keep telling me basically the same thing, give it a couple of months. I sure hope so, every next day after injection, I swear I will never take this stuff again and I'm on 1.5 now because I could not tolerate 2.5.

I DO have hoarding issues (though they're mostly in-control; my house is not disgusting and I DO have limits). I always feel like that's something I ought to disclose when someone mentions having taken inspiration from my own stock-up. I meant to stop at five, then eight, then ten was when I really forced myself to quit it; but I think the only reason I was ABLE to stop at ten was because I started hoarding bac, reta and epitalon instead. I stopped at fifteen years of bac, five of reta and am at three of Epitalon. I'm genuinely not sure I AM at full stop now, but at least I managed to slow it WAY down; around a hundred bucks every few weeks, and even that's technically stopped for now because my mother's got me slow-building HER hoard.

What does the data show on how long Lyophilized peptides are still good to use?

Hahahaha, I swore I was done after waiting for a GB on R to drop any day. The price is under $100/kit. I also just bought a R60 kit in a GB that just opened and only open till 6/8. They also had T100. I don't know Tirz price, but the price seems good. I'll post it if you want or message a link.

Female from Bama, my body/my choice doesn't exist here. We are subject to the whims of the male ruling class on that one.
Don't forget they took away our gummies too. My wife needed those to sleep. When I go across state lines to get them all you see is Alabama tags in the parking lot and people in the store 60yrs + making the purchases. People needed those but Memaw says no. She's a real bitch. But try taking her 7 gin and tonics a night way and she loses it.

And by the way, Alabama made it a felony to bring it back across state lines.

More and more people are saying the USA is a Democracy in name only, it is really an Oligarchy.

Important line is at the end, where it says if a patient acquires and administers themselves, risk is the patients....as it has always been. This doesn't actually change anything.
Right it's just cracking down on med spas and shady docs prescribing patients unapproved medicines they bought off the grey market for a 1000% mark up
