So, I was on Tirz for a few months, all went well, good weight loss, minimal side effects, I do love Tirz so much. But at the higher doses 10-11 mg, I started to feel so flat, so bummed, depressed, and 'fuck you all, I'm gonna sit here and read reddit all the time', no will to do anything, no joy. Well I had to go to work, but when I got home, I was just like a 'blaaaaah'.
Apparently, a side effect from Tirz, I didn't have it on Sema.
Waited for at bit, but couldn't stand it.
Titrating down at the moment, going up in Reta, a bit of Cagri.
Feel better, have more energy on the other two.
But this could maybe happen again on Reta.
Does anyone know of any supplements etc, they have used or heard of, to help with this anhedonia ?
Thank you.

Hello 👋 I don't know if this suggestion will help in any way. Just my personal experience. Happily on tirz for around 15 months when was slammed (bedridden 😞) with appalling anxiety - for no reason. Am now on a reduced dose of tirz with a small dose of sema mid week. No anxiety. Really it's a matter of trying different peps / blends / dosages. Everyone reacts differently. I'm confident there is a solution to this. Good luck 🤞

That's what I already do, I'm just curious about some solutions out there. That's sounds awful, being bedridden for anxiety !

Time was the solution in my case. I started at a higher dose of Tirz than most people and felt off for a few months. Those first 3 months felt like I just sat at my office desk or in a recliner and melted.

This went away, but anytime I would bump the dose up, I knew I would feel it for a bit again. It always went away. Eventually, I worked my way up to 15mg every 4/5 days and even at doses that high, I stopped feeling like that.

Hopefully, you'll have a similar outcome. GL

Thank you, but I could't live that way, it was too depressing, - why I went over to reta instead, hoping, it won't do it too.
glad to hear it worked out for you, maybe i'll try again sometime, since i have 3-4 years worth of tirz in the freezer, lol.

I hear ya. Luckily, I'm too dumb to even realize anything was off - as it was happening. I only noticed after I started to return to normal and began wanting to do things again.

GL with reta. Hopefully it is kinder to you than Tirz was.

True, I didn't think about it at first, because well.... but after some time it got worse and worse, so I looked up side effects.

Jesus, this is the first I heard about this. I thought only BPC-157 had issues like this. I take both tirzepatide and BPC-157.

What I do with BPC-157, is to take NAC too, it was said to help regulate serotonin/dopamine something something..

Miss-sanne this is the space I’m in: tirz plus NAD+.

I have tried all 3 of the current GLP-1s (short tries), and had anhedonia on all 3. On sema I got to week three and had to drop it, it was Very Much Not Good. It’s the reason I’ve tried all three, all short term partial doses.

As of today I’m 3 doses of tirz in, with roughly 3/week of NAD. So far it’s “okay” the anhedonia creeps through a tad here and there but the other morning I was cracking dad jokes at 6 am (definitely not my MO at F48, menopause-ish).

I have historically had anhedonia that dipped into depression. Seems likely that places me at greater tendency/ risk.

I am also not consistent with exercise (yet) and it’s a good weapon against this grey fog. 20 minutes of breath-moving activity (which a brisk walk works well for) was helpful for my “run of the mill” variety. Can’t say if it will help with this “induced” type but nothing to lose by trying.

My energy seems a little better than without, not sure it helps where really needed though, read: dopamine. When my energy dips I am definitely crankier than normal.

Wait. NAC… do you mean NAD? Am I on the wrong planet and need to consider something different?
