I have suffered migraines my whole life. The current medications covered by my insurance (emitrex, maxalt) give me horrible side effects. The newer prophylactic migraine medications like Emgality, Amovig are not covered. They are in a family of drugs called calcitronin gene related peptide antagonists CGRP inhibitors. I can't afford any of these new wonder drugs without insurance coverage. I am new to the "grey research drugs" . Does anyone know of a source for any research CGRP antagonist drugs?

Search this forum for "migraine" a lot pops up.
I saw that Someone on Reddit said that hers completely stopped after starting Glo..
I have heard others say that Botox is effective, and best to go to someone specialized for that purpose.

My insurance does cover botox for migraines. I have heard mixed results. I have ordered some of the components of GLOW and I am waiting for delivery. I'm sure there would be a large market for grey CGRP inhibitors.

I’d love to find a peptides too. DOA from seeking health helped tremendously. Also the book Heal Your Headaches is the GOAT. The program isn’t easy to follow but it helps a ton.

Thank you for the tip. I see a product on Amazon called histamine digest from seeking health. DAO enzyme supplement is that the one?

I pin 2.8mg GLOW and my migraines dissappear in 15mins, it's like I've discovered a life hack.
This also works for me just taking GHKcu, so that must be it. It's s way underrated peptide, modifies gene expression for over 6000 genes. From anecdotes it seems it impacts everyone in different ways.

Yes it is. It is expensive. Take it with every meal 15 minutes before you eat. Histamine (not just the allergies type) sets of neurotransmitters that can cause headaches. I take GABA, taurine, and choline along with DOA and my migraines, sinus pain, joint pain is significantly reduced. All the prescriptions didn’t help. The heal your headache explains the glutamine rich foods that set off the reaction. Aged meats and cheeses, yogurt, sour cream. All the good stuff. DOA is an enzyme that neutralizes the histamines triggered from what we eat. Reddit has good info on histamine intolerance just avoid the folks that are on their talking about season allergy reactions. It’s not the same. Dirty Genes is also a good book.

There are cheaper plant based DOA sources. Didn’t help me. Try the seeming health brand first. If you notice improvement, then try the cheaper ones.

I just ordered that peptide from the SRY USA warehouse this morning. Now I will have all the components of GLOW. I'm excited. If it works for me that would improve my life as much as trizepatide!!!

I hope it helps. I bought the book over 10 years ago and didn’t try the plan because I thought it was to hard. I had a horrible migraine and noticed that many of the trigger foods I had recently eaten. Yogurt, deli meat. For me migraines and histamine triggering foods are one and the same. The Facebook group Migraine strong was set up as a support group related to the book.

What is your dosage of GHK-cu?

I have not found a peptide for migraines yet. I've tried many including ghkcu, glow, klow, ......The only med (prescription) that works for me without too many side effects is an old one probably no longer available with its original name of fioricet, fiorinal, still available in generic. No magnified migraine symptoms or nausea/vomiting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butalbital/acetaminophen. They still manage to charge $$ but worth every penny penny for me.

Dont forget Wine, many kinds have a lot of histamines.

Yesterday I woke up with a mild Migraine. I pinned ghk-cu for the first time. 15 min. later it was gone. Today I don't even have a rebound migraine like Maxalt usually gives. It seems too good to be true!!! I am not going to get my Hope's up till it works on a severe migraine.

I have been pinning it every day for the last 14 days and I have not yet had a severe migraine. I am definately having less migraines. I have had several mild ones mostly while researching 5-amino1 . The mild ones don't last long. I thought my dosage was 2 mg per day but I think I have the SRY overfill. If I have the overfill ghk-cu, my dosage has been a little more than 4 mg per day. I had no signs of doing too much.

It's amazing the different effects GHKcu has on people, its a much underrated peptide! Has more research and support than TB500 or BPC157.

I’ve had migraines since probably middle school. Beyond the migraines I’d get mild to moderate nearly daily headaches. I take Aimovig once a month. It knocked the migraine days down but not the routine headache days.

Strangely since I started tirz I don’t really get headaches anymore. I do not know why. Reduced inflammation is all I can think

When I went from tirz to Reta they came back. Back to tirz they went away. I still take the Aimovig because I’m afraid to make any changes since I’m doing pretty great.

YMMV but tb4 and bpc157 gives me headaches

I’ve o labored ghkcu in glow with bpc and tb4 and got headaches so I guess I should try some ghkcu by itself

Thank you for sharing your experience. I was pretty sure that tirz decreased my headaches as well. I wish my insurance covered aimovig. It would be great if Aimovig or something similar was available at one of our grey vendors. I haven't tried tb 4 or 5 yet. I did suspect bpc157 might have made the headaches worse. 5-amino 1mq definitely caused migraines for me. I am excited about ghk-cu. I hope my system does not create a resistance to it.

If you think of it, please do post your ghost-cu experiences.

I also wish there were grey cgrp meds. Maybe some day

I am taking tirzepatide 15 mg and started adding in reta a few weeks ago, was at about 4mg/week. ( I am trying to maintain a 50% weight loss ) Got two migraines in a row both starting at 5 or 6 am last week and then 7 days in a row this week, most starting early am . I have had migraines since forever but never this many in a short time. Eletriptan works well and quickly for me, but is not a great idea to take it every day for a week. Retatrutide is the only recent change I can think of that might have caused this, so I am stopping it for now and will see what happens. And maybe try restarting it slowly once they are gone. Bit of a pity as i have been losing 0.5kg a week the last few weeks, and only 450 grams to go to get to exactly half my start weight. I don't have any of the above mentioned peptides on hand to try, at this stage i would try almost anything to stop this burst of migraines.
