CONSTIPATION!

I’m a bit backed up right now so will max dose Mag07 this evening then hit the office toilet on a Saturday (on a floor where I don’t work).

It’s too cold to do the “bag-in-a-bucket” outside and I’m not a fan of plunging a toilet.

I was not that regular before tirz and then on it was worse, but I eat lower carb now so that is likely why. I use two kinds of supplements (mag 07 and enzymes) as well as probiotics and it doesn't do that much more. I did notice when I stacked with a small dose of reta things started softening and happening.

Celery juice is very cleansing, in a pinch. You can get a small bottle at Trader Joe's under the Suja brand, but only try half a bottle the first time and prepare for response soon afterwards.
Thanks! There's a Trader Joe's close by! I'll just make a file cabinet of these products 🤣🤧 this is ridiculous....I was never a frequent goer.

Just be aware:
  • A serving of five prunes contains 17 grams of sugar.
Most dried fruit has heavy sugar content if you are monitoring your carb intake.
Also, Mag 07 doesn't work that great for me. May work for you.
Yup, I read the label. Still within my calories for the day and with the daily banana it is about the only sugar I eat. At least it isn't processed sugar. I am also not T2D.

Btw Costco has dried mandarin oranges. There’s sugar added but they’re delish and also work like prunes and apricots for me
Edit dried mango too. I guess maybe I just like dried fruit
Ooh and I love mandarin....😋 I'll try these too

I’m frustrated because I’ve had IBS-D for 25 years and a “nervous stomach” before that. Nothing helped except prescription antidiarrheals. Tirz knocked me for a LOOP- I swear I didn’t go for days. Finally got cleared out, was having no issues on a half cap of miralax daily in my protein shake. Suddenly it stopped working 10 days ago. Upped miralax to a full cap.. next day tried 2..then 3… added senna-s, 2 tabs. That started things moving, but I’m still having issues. I’ll try adding magnesium at night, but holy heck!?! After 25 years praying to stop, now I’m begging to take it back at least partway. This shit is no fun. 😭

Drink a cup of real prune juice 😋 thank me later

I tried many of the products you listed.

I ended up just taking 4 dulcolax (docusate) a day. Still fine tuning the amounts and timings, but it's been a game changer.

Mix Metamucil to a 16.9 oz bottle of water and drink one every evening, add fiber gummies to the mix daily, drink protein shakes with fiber, and eat something with fiber daily, prunes are great. All safe for daily use. You'll hardly have to pull out the milk of magnesia.

Hemp fiber protein powder and a can of black beans a day. This gives me about 150% RDI of fiber. 120+ Oz of water a day keeps me going every 2-3 days.
1/2 can of black beans a day, with CKN breast, on salad, with Pace salsa for dressing, is one of my hacks!
Great fiber/protein/low cal

One dulcolax gel (docusate) in the evening and half cap of Miralax works for me. Lots of water of course.
I take senna-s 3 tabs, mag ox 750 mg, and 10 mg bisacodyl at bedtime, plus bixibat 10 mg at noon w/food. I drink water constantly between Reta dry mouth and this. I have decided that this is my life now. 😒

I'd try to avoid taking stimulant laxatives like bisacodyl on the regular. From what I've read, they can eventually interfere with your colon's natural mechanism and you'll become dependent on them. I was using them from time to time at first until I ass-blasted a level-9 clogger into the commode, causing the need for swift plunger action. It was actually getting kind of scary at that point because I'd feel the internal pressure, but have such difficulty getting things to come out.

I started on the dosucate, which is not a stimulant and safe to take regular, but one a night wasn't quite enough. I then found the Miralax, which seemed to do the trick (and it's also safe to take regularly). Just gotta chug a lot of water with it.

Before I found the Miralax, I bought some saline enemas just in case, but thankfully never needed to use any.

Metamucil was great but it gave me such bad heartburn I had to stop. I like the liquid dulcolax. I find the pills to be less effective, haven't tried the chews. Drinking Calm magnesium at night helps me a lot and I sometimes add a bit of miralax to it if I feel like I really need it. I have tons of scar tissue on and around my colon (thanks, endometriosis) so if I don't go a minimum of every other day things get very *very* uncomfortable.

I’ve been a nurse for 30 years and worked hospice for 25 of those (lots of opioid induced constipation there). I started w/miralax and docusate. Didn’t work. Added senna-s. Still no. Prunes. At least they taste good. Bisacodyl is a last resort. I know about the issues caused by laxative use. Including miralax. It’s just one more part of my existence that doesn’t seem to respond normally.

I'm so tired of being backed the hell up with tirz!! POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF THE GLP1 THAT GIVES YOU THE RUNS! I'm really serious!! I'm so full of shyt!! It gets worse titrating up!! Just some Thursday evening humor! Enjoy your week folks!
