So where do we stand on the possibility of cagri causing Alzheimer's and other negative long term affects? I've only been able to find a post about a post and Google tells me nothing. Any links I can read?

It is being researched to treat Alzheimer’s in addition to diabetes and obesity.

I recently ordered a 10mg kit from SRY, because I am willing to take the risk and have not seen anything other than conjecture on here and another forum that discusses the whole brain/blood barrier drama. That drama was blown out of proportion by non-experts. Nobody has anything solid to support their claims.

Now, none of us that I am aware of have a PhD in Pharmacology or Biochemistry, especially myself. We are all taking risks with a lot of these peptides. Some have not even had in depth studies conducted in humans. I think this is no more dangerous than other substances we are putting into our bodies that actually have evidence of strong negative side effects. For example, the HGH and GHRH peptides that can accelerate tumor growth.

The concern might be around fibrils/oligomers.

If so, we've got a few threads on here but nothing definitive. We were waiting to see what the deal was with the pH on the single chamber cagrisema pen, but I don't think we've had any news there in a while.

I don't think you need a PhD to figure out that Cagrilintide is not the drug they're testing in your citation. Reading comprehension might be helpful, however.

Pramlintide and cagrilintide are different, though they both relate to amylin, a hormone involved in glucose control and appetite regulation

Pramlintide isn't Cagrilintide. Pramlintide is FDA approved. Cagrilintide is not.

The question shouldn't be "does cagri cause Alzheimer's?". The question should be is black market Cagri as safe as the product in FDA trials?

Who's to say black market Cagri has more or less of a propensity to tangle and turn into fibrils and oligomers than the real trial drug?

If you really want to read the FUD about oligomers and fibrils... Read this thread.

SecretWeapon states that "1. Almost every single amylin analogue fibrillated at pH 7.5 (including cagrilintide). The only one that didn't was rejected for low potency."

pH 7.5 is neutral and around our body's pH.

So my question is, even if you tweak the reconstituted vial's pH to be acidic (4), was the product prepared in a manner where fibrillation did not take place? In other words, did your upstanding, totally honest, not going to screw you, I swear, Chinese chemist prepare the solution in an environment that was in the acidic pH range?

I believe the oligomers and fibrils aren't just a concern for the human brain. There are other health related concerns..

I'll let you make your own conclusion on the safety of black market Cagrilintide. The jump to Alzheimers is a long one since it's generally progresses slowly and later in life. So most people that get some form of dementia are usually diagnosed and categorized, but you don't really know what it was until you autopsy the brain.

So take comfort in that.

It's a shame none of us will get to see our own autopsies. That would be really cool.

Elon will fix this so you can just upload your consciousness to your Tesla.
Imagine your consciousness being in the car when it gets sold for scrap metal

Isn't that what they're sold for from the dealership?

(this is not political. i've hated teslas ever since i sat in a model s back in 2013 and thought the interior was shittier than car's half their price)

I wouldn't have any idea! I can't even tell different models of car apart.

Also, before any of the heavy handed guys points out this is an old thread--I KNOW!!
I was looking up info on cagri.
This is an informational thread, it's worth reviving! It's the stupid drama ones we shouldn't revive, imo.

Side note: never made it over .08 cagri, gave up. Didn't break the stall and didn't seem more effective on appetite than sema alone other than making me ill. I ate about the same amount with sema willpower without needing the added nausea.

I think this sums it up and is where I'm landing. I'm out of MOTS--that I was liking-- coming from 2 sources (one lost in the mail, one floating in pergatory) and i guess I was looking for something else to inject.

You, @chmuse, are the palate cleanser in the overly heavy, cloyingly rich, too many courses dinner that sometimes is this forum!

Sounds like you're not a fan. Please don't feel obligated to hang around if that's the case. The feds took away my handcuffs when I retired so I can't force people to stay against their will anymore.

You know, you can buy handcuffs a lot of places nowadays, and you don't need the permission of the popo to use them in private. 😘

You didn’t experience the effect because you stopped at .8. It works great for me up around 2mg, but the fatigue is rough.

I was projectile vomiting, I'm pretty sure choosing not to go up was the wise choice. There's only so much mopping you can do before deciding it's not worth it.

I was pointing out that she made a lighthearted comment after two guys were going at it pretty hard in the comments before. Which is what I meant by "heavy"
I'm not sure how you'd take offense to this?
