I'm exploring suppliers that offer raw powder at significantly lower prices. For instance, $120 per gram could yield slightly over 16 vials of 60 mg each. From what I understand, you'd need at least an analytical balance for accurate measurement, along with several vials with crimp caps. The analytical balance seems to be the most costly component.

Don't do it, there are reasons why it's cheaper

I made this intended to be sarcastic comment and then checked Amazon. They actually do sell a lyophilizer for $4300. Anyone gonna buy one, then you too can save $$ doing it yourself. What could possibly go wrong?

Ah, drats, "This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location."

Oh well, I do have a food dehydrator, that should work, right?

If you’d like to homebrew with raws you should do the research to actually understand what that entails instead of just posting on a forum because it sounds like a cool way to save money on your injectables. Until you’ve done the research you aren’t in a position to make a decision regardless of that we say. Once you’ve done the research I promise you’ll conclude that it isn’t a good use of time or money.

So you're saying we shouldn't use a food dehydrator and kitchen oven?

But no joke even in china most vendors are resellers, they don't even finish products and those that actually finish them only do it for some of their products, not for everything

When you buy from a vendor, you have more chance to get resold products

I have bought “raw” tirzepatide for an experiment . It tested 99.8 percent pure. I used a cheap scale and vialed it. I measured it with a cheap scale to 53 mg …..
so at the lab it weighed 55.78mg of powder, of which 51.64mg was Tirzepatide … so I was 2.78 mg off total weight …..

Resellers buy “raw “ tirzepatide” from a bulk factory by the KG and it is a near pure API ….. some then sell it raw , some have it mikes with salts, binders , and sterilized , re-lyophilzed and put into vials.

1) raw peptides aren’t sterilized
2) raw peptides are lyophilized ( freeze dried) during the filtering/ purification stage.

3) once they leave the original manufacturer you have no clue where they were……. Or possible contamination.

4) cheaper and smarter to buy a finalized product.

5) I bought it as an experiment to see if I could ballpark accurately measure a peptide, test it , vial it, then freeze it at -20 to -30 C for 3 years . I want to retest it and check its mg and potency …..

6) that I could do this and have an adequate “HPLC test should be a gut check . Anyone could do this and sell it .

6) I will destroy the test vials in 3 years
