You've been thinking correct as a medical term. End of day is more commonly used as an administrative or business term.
Thanks for the clarification. been reading bro and institutional science for a long time and was pretty sure I had it right. Is either more common on this forum?

Honestly I've been here over a year and rarely see it used in either way so when it is clarification is probably needed. I have a business background so will always initially read it as End of Day which evolved into Close of Business which to me is a bit more aggressive.
