I donât think youâre attacking me because you donât even know me. What you are is just another in a line of fitness folks who know nothing about this.
(As an aside, remember when it was all the rage for well-known fitness folks to âget fatâ and then lose it? So theyâd âknowâ what it was like? That was hilarious and pointless and insulting.)
No one said people shouldnât try healthier habits. Itâs the abject arrogance of folks like you that seem to think we donât know that, seem to think we havenât tried tried that, or havenât been told that, and most of all, havenât been successful at it *a million and two* times. Successful until we cannot hold the line any longer. Until whateverâs broken in the brain wins out.
Logging food? Thatâs the first step in most programs that donât prepare the food for you. (Raise your hand if you remember WWâs little paper booklets, lol) Even the ones that do prepare the food talk about it and suggest it bc they know we underestimate what weâre putting on our mouths.
Measuring food? Weighing food? Reading every label? Check, check, and check.
Eating well, knowing what youâre eating, and movement, I said nothing about those. Those are great things. Those are great things that for some of us (as I said, this isnât everyoneâs story thatâs on glp-1s, look at you) are almost independent of the medicine, that are made possible by the medicine, that will continue to be possible bc of the medicine.
Though, if folks choose not to do those things, or sometimes, or in any combination, thatâs their business.
So no, there wonât be a meeting of the minds on this one.
Such is life and thatâs ok.
