I feel like I need to research pt141 too because my libido has tanked as well on Reta. It’s not non-existent but I never initiate anymore and when he does it’s like UGH OKAY FINE let’s do this but make it quick ok?

I feel like a total ass lmao. It’s also been a total shock for my partner because this is…. Not me. I kind of wondered if maybe it was because my life has been so crazy and stressful lately but I’m glad other pellle are also experiencing this (well not glad but… you know).
You are not alone - with all of it. I think I just need to stop thinking about buying it and do it and try.

I have a little USB fan i bring when we travel, I call it the Marriage Fan (tried Divorce Fan but that didn’t go over well) because before the fan we would always bicker about the room temp. It gives me a little control over my temp but she doesn’t have to freeze. The thing probably saved the marriage.

Maybe get your wife a marriage fan and bump the temp up a little?
Actually, I just bought her a pedestal fan on Amazon like two weeks ago, its pointed right at her side of the bed. She said its payback for all of the years that I froze her out (with the AC at 70-72F). I manage ok with layers. I like that though, the "marriage fan".

So, these GLP-1 class drugs can effect thyroid hormone levels. Hypothyroidism is a frequent endocrine disorder with common symptom of increased cold sensitivity.

My doc has me getting blood work done every three-months. I actually had to ask her to include a thyroid panel and she looked at me bewildered....Fortunately, she complied with my request.

How do it reduce thyroid hormone levels? My entire thyroid gland was surgically removed. As a result, I take Synthroid (synthetic thyroid). But I am cold a great deal.

A lot of doctors haven't kept up with 'newer' medications.
Yes, but she prescribes my zepbound. TBH I think she is overworked and underpaid. I constantly have to remind her of what we discussed on our last visit and the info she gave me. Then she spends a minute reading her notes and is "oh yeah". She is moving from a solo practice to joining a group practice starting tomorrow, we'll see how things change.

Your TSH levels and T4 (Synthroid) levels may be stable, but you could be experiencing lower T4 to T3 conversion. T3 is the active thyroid hormone, so you could be essentially going more functionally hypothyroid without impacting your TSH level. TSH levels are governed by T4

"Moderate weight loss can decrease the amount of T3 in the body. This is because the body decreases its peripheral conversion of T4 to T3 when it's in caloric restriction mode."

Thanks. I'll discuss this with my endocrinologist when I next see him. He manages my tirzepatide, my Synthroid, and my papillary thyroid cancer. (No, there is no contraindication to giving tirzepatide to someone with PAPILLARY thyroid cancer.)

I was only 250lbs for a few years. I'm currently back to 200 lbs where I was for a very long time. I was NEVER this cold and its specifically my fingers and toes.
May be way off on this, but when you lose fat and fluid from weight loss, you’re losing a decent amount of insulation and heat conduction capabilities. Just saying. Kind of like when women get pregnant and feel warm all the time and then the cold sets in after baby comes and all that extra blood volume and some of the weight leaves.

I spend the entire day freezing, wearing layers, and wrapping myself in blankets. But I sleep so incredibly hot. I sleep in a tank top and undies with two fans on full blast pointed right at me and still wake up drenched in sweat. My room is cold, if I kick the blanket off me then I'm immediately freezing. It's one or the other, no middle ground over here.

When I first started taking it, Tirz would make me tired/unmotivated the next day, but that went away. Other than that, I can't really tell much outside of never being able to finish a meal.

Yeah—this is all bad. I have two kits of the fake stuff (r10 and t30) that’s not even on their list. That means that multiple companies were hit. If you want to know more, join The Swiss on Discord, where they are tracking all this.
Do you have a link for that discord?

My THYROID PEROXIDASE AB (TPO) (anti-thyroid antibodies) has shot way up.

The trend started prior to Tirzepatide so it's hard to say if Tirz is making things worse. But it definitely hasn't made them better, which in my magical thinking, I was sure would happen.

I wonder how much of a GPs job these days is fielding requests for glp1s. I bet it’s a lot.

Surprisingly, she actually recommended Mounjaro to me after I had a heart issue and my weight was a little higher each time I saw her. (I have/had a bunch of the comorbidities listed in the insurance requirements. If insurance wouldn't cover she also offered to send the script to a compound pharmacy.

My TPO antibodies (Tested seven times in the last 9 months) since taking Retatrutide have been pretty consistent 400 +/- 75 IU (Normal range 0-34 IU). LDH has dropped significantly though.

My point was I am currently 200 pounds. I spent a large portion of my life weighing 200 pounds and was never this cold. I have the same insulation now that I did then. I gained 56 pounds over covid times and have now lost it.

Are you still super cold if you eat a lot in a day? I just had a pre weight loss style binge and I felt like I was on fire for the rest of that day and the next day. Typically, I've been very cold like you, since starting tirz, but I've also been eating a quarter of what I used to. No fuel for the furnace.
