It's definitely on my list of 'eventually' (my poor partner lmao.) I'd want to make sure it's safe with all my medications first, I'm on a lot. But between sema and working 6-7 days a week and 2-4 overtime shifts a week it hasn't been a priority.
Would make for a nice day off if our schedules ever manage to align, but he's a scardy cat and probably wouldn't try it with me.

This has been my experience. I felt the first dose within a few hours, same with the next few doses. But it takes a good 24-36 hours to know the most recent dose is working.

I get freezing cold within a few hours, but the appetite differences take a day. I am miserably cold for 2 days and then after that only uncomfortably cold until I do another shot.
Okay so question for everyone. I'm a 5 foot 10 35 year old male. Before tirz, i was like 280 and high af blood pressure, hot and sweaty all that shit lol.
I'm 195 now and I'm fucking freezing. Like cold as fuck all the time. Am I just feeling temperature as it actually exists or is the tirz making me cold? Lmao I can't figure it out

It's likely the tirz. the whole class of drug seems to have this effect.
Get a few electric blankets and put them around the house.

It's a pretty commonly reported side effect but it is unknown to me if it is a side effect of the weight loss or the tirz directly. All I can say is you are not alone. I got 4 blankets on my bed now 🥶

I was only 250lbs for a few years. I'm currently back to 200 lbs where I was for a very long time. I was NEVER this cold and its specifically my fingers and toes.

I will say I'll take it over being hot/sweaty af 24/7. That was way worse

It’s the tirz. It’s the first side effect after the shot and lasts for a few days. I even had to buy new winter clothes this year. I’ve always been so hot and rarely wore a coat. Vests were always fine. Now I’m freezing all day at work. I bought a bunch of sweaters and a puffy coat.

I like money. Overtime gets me money. And SOMEONE has to be there when someone calls in sick.... It's not like I have a life, may as well take the overtime when it's there during the holidays.

Yep. Reta injections move my RHR up around 8 hours post injection.
I'm not personally getting any colder on reta or previously tirz than I generally ever did, but a friend of mine reports she gets significantly colder on tirz.

My wife was the same way, I was always turning down the air conditioning, she was freezing. Now she is going through perimenopause and hot all the time. Doesn't matter if its 110F outside, we're sleeping at 64F in the bedroom. I started wearing PJ's and sleep under three blankets... Its like friggin camping in the house.
I have a little USB fan i bring when we travel, I call it the Marriage Fan (tried Divorce Fan but that didn’t go over well) because before the fan we would always bicker about the room temp. It gives me a little control over my temp but she doesn’t have to freeze. The thing probably saved the marriage.
Maybe get your wife a marriage fan and bump the temp up a little?
You are not alone - with all of it. I think I just need to stop thinking about buying it and do it and try.

Actually, I just bought her a pedestal fan on Amazon like two weeks ago, its pointed right at her side of the bed. She said its payback for all of the years that I froze her out (with the AC at 70-72F). I manage ok with layers. I like that though, the "marriage fan".

Yes, but she prescribes my zepbound. TBH I think she is overworked and underpaid. I constantly have to remind her of what we discussed on our last visit and the info she gave me. Then she spends a minute reading her notes and is "oh yeah". She is moving from a solo practice to joining a group practice starting tomorrow, we'll see how things change.
May be way off on this, but when you lose fat and fluid from weight loss, you’re losing a decent amount of insulation and heat conduction capabilities. Just saying. Kind of like when women get pregnant and feel warm all the time and then the cold sets in after baby comes and all that extra blood volume and some of the weight leaves.

I spend the entire day freezing, wearing layers, and wrapping myself in blankets. But I sleep so incredibly hot. I sleep in a tank top and undies with two fans on full blast pointed right at me and still wake up drenched in sweat. My room is cold, if I kick the blanket off me then I'm immediately freezing. It's one or the other, no middle ground over here.

Surprisingly, she actually recommended Mounjaro to me after I had a heart issue and my weight was a little higher each time I saw her. (I have/had a bunch of the comorbidities listed in the insurance requirements. If insurance wouldn't cover she also offered to send the script to a compound pharmacy.

My point was I am currently 200 pounds. I spent a large portion of my life weighing 200 pounds and was never this cold. I have the same insulation now that I did then. I gained 56 pounds over covid times and have now lost it.

Are you still super cold if you eat a lot in a day? I just had a pre weight loss style binge and I felt like I was on fire for the rest of that day and the next day. Typically, I've been very cold like you, since starting tirz, but I've also been eating a quarter of what I used to. No fuel for the furnace.

I didn't notice the cold at first. I started tirzepatide in early August. In August, the highs for Fresno for Fresno often exceed 100 degrees. Fortunately, that's Fahrenheit, not Celsius, but it's still hot. But now I get cold very easy.

That's a good question, I haven't noticed a difference but I haven't been looking for it.
My cold seems to mostly be my fingers and toes.

My other half complains about the heat on in the house so I grab my portable heater and put on my side of the bed and he still complains 🤣🤣🤷🏽♀️ I be cold lol. If he'll just paid the whole rent he might have more say so🤣heck I'll just layer up at night.

If they actually arrange for post testing, it could be a good outcome for a terrible situation. As long as the post testing is random vials from customers of each batch.
I mean yeah the FF thing is clearly a lie, but if it tests good....
I do hope they really study the interaction between GLP1s and the thyroid.
I have Hashimoto's and based on anecdotal stories I've read, I was expecting my thyroid to get a little worse on GLP1s. Instead, I've been able to decrease my Synthroid from 150mcg to 88mcg daily. I have lab work in 6 weeks to see if I need a further decrease. My doctor is bewildered.
I don’t appreciate them stopping at the BF sale. I bought T40 in the GB11, it was listed as the same batch # with the same test. I’ve sent a msg to John via WhatsApp, I’ll see what he says.

I could probably staff a full weight loss clinic 12hrs a day 7 days a week and be fully booked every day . The demand is truly that high.
