So lucky to have found you all! I’ve been silently reading everything for the past two weeks- finally made an account to join the fun. My RS is on a weight loss journey after a pregnancy loss. She lost 5 lbs through diet and exercise over 2 months and another 6 just in the past 3 weeks that she’s been on Tirz 2.5mg/wk. only 25lbs to go lol

She loves working out (cycle classes, HIIT circuits, lifting, hikes with her dog, swimming). She’s a vegetarian so it’s hard getting her daily protein in but she is really trying now to hit at least 100g every day.

I have a theory that since she doesn’t eat meat, she’s not getting any L-Carnitine in her regular diet. And I think that makes fat metabolism harder for her body. I’ve ordered some AOD9604 (I know I know) and she’s going to take L-Carnitine with it fasted in the morning, then go on a run with her pup. She will do this for 2 months and report back. Five days on, two days off. She gets the weekends off lol. The theory is, alongside the Tirz, AOD is going to aid in kick starting lipolysis. The L-Carn will help shuttle the free fat to be metabolized for energy. Since she’s working out 2x a day (morning run or hike with pup and a studio class in evening), she’ll need that energy. If she was more sedimentary, she could have taken Lipo-c and avoided the painful IM injection of L-Carn but like I said, I think she actually needs it.

Has anyone else tried this stack and what was your experience? Happy to hear from you!

I haven't tried that stack, but I appreciate the effort and reasoning you put into this

You can't go wrong with that thinking, good luck!

Welcome!

Even vegans should naturally produce enough L-carnitine (at least to prevent deficiency):

Generally your body makes sufficient carnitine to meet your daily needs, and your kidneys are quite efficient in conserving carnitine when the level falls. Even with a carnitine-deficient diet, a healthy person rarely has carnitine deficiency.

But popular weight-loss supplements do have L-carnitine, so it may be of some benefit. It seems the jury is still out. But we all have our own preferences and favorite theories. I like B-12 injections even though they may not help much (or even at all since I was always in the normal range). The cost vs. benefit ratio is good enough for me since a vial of B-12 is only $1 from India.

Valid point! This makes me feel better for sure, thanks for linking the article. Let's see if the stack has any delta in fat loss!

Welcome, I'll just bluntly say AOD and L-carn are both a waste of money. The effect you want only comes from increasing growth hormone. That can be done directly with hgh (illegal) or gh secretougues like tesamorelin/ipamorelin. But these are not something to dabble in without a lot of research into getting your own bloodwork and reading it.

Thank you fellow rs :) Yes, I'll definitely let you all know how it goes- getting the stack from HK peptides.
Welcome, and full disclosure.. I cannot read the 3rd party RS posts without thinking...
"it puts the lotion on it's skin or it gets the hose again.." LOL

Seriously, you will be glad you found this place

And no need to talk that way here. It's not required here. We're all injecting ourselves with Chinese mystery drugs here.

All the more reason to take more :D

"A non-linear dose-response association was seen between l-carnitine supplementation and body weight reduction (P < 0.001) suggesting that ingestion of 2000 mg l-carnitine per day provides the maximum effect in adults."

`This association was not seen for BMI, WC and body fat percent.` ...All the actual important measurements... (well BMI is mostly pointless too)
