This all reminds me of an interesting story from 2008.

The Sanlu Dairy company in China was secretly adding melamine to their milk products. They did this so that it would appear to have a higher protein content and thereby pass QA inspections.

300,000 kids got sick with kidney issues from consuming the milk. Tens of thousands were hospitalized, a few died.

When the fraud was discovered and prosecuted, the ringleaders faced the firing squad. Others, including government officials who were involved, were sentenced to life in prison.
Vendors in the grey market often believe they’re protected by labels like:
  • not for human consumption
  • for research purposes only
  • not injectable.
But in the unfortunate event of a proven serious injury, those disclaimers wouldn’t shield them at all.
There’s more than enough evidence that they were fully aware of how their products were actually being used. And if they think they can’t be traced, they’re fooling themselves.
And I genuinely don’t understand why they don’t simply test the batches they buy and add the cost of those tests to the final price, we’re talking about a few dollars that would make all the difference.

Molly and Kelly are the real assets at Jeep. I hope their boss listens to them.
They could come back as heroes if they handle this right...
 
I see your point, and I agree, the way the community reacts now is definitely different from how it used to be, and you’re right to highlight that.
At the same time, perhaps it’s also a matter of age and of a different way of approaching things and experiencing the community.
I mean strength in numbers.... you can say take ur chances every man for themselves, but thats selfish. A team, (not saying we need to, but if WE wanted) could blackball any vendor and refuse to buy (even with the whole 40 dollar reduction sale) and advise every new member dont do it, theyre bad news.... there goes what? 30-50% of their sales. Sounds crazy, but the group can negotiate and even dictate terms....

At a minimum, it opens the door for the new guy (pretty 25 year old Asian girl) to say.... we heard you. We gotchoo. Were gonna charge an extra 20%, but every jano test includes an endotoxin test.... are they gonna ride that test and sell 3 batches as one? Absolutely, but its a start.
 
FORD and Lizzy will end up selling better stuff, and so will the other sellers, if they saw JEEP and Molly’s business sinking. Basic market dynamics… assuming they’re not terminally oblivious. Lol

I agree with the general point: a coordinated group does have leverage, whether it chooses to use it or not. Even just setting shared standards can shift how vendors behave. And yes, introducing proper testing is a step in the right direction.
 
Also not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Stairway to Grey (STG) has removed JEEP from their vendors area. It is not just us complaining here, but the audience is much bigger in the dissatisfaction with JEEP's handling of this issue.

Absolutely, the majority thinks theres at least another half dozen vendors sold the same thing during the same period. Theres a few folks sending/sent out a vial to find out....consensus is numerous resellers and just a few manufacterers. Its all made at the plant, no finishers or cappers. You want nexa purple/ blue no worries, buy 2000 kits on a regular basis. What puzzles me is how homopeptide can just say, all our shit has white caps for the next 3 months.... maybe if ur a big fish you choose your colors.

To push the expectation to receive a minimally-safe product back to the buyer as if the seller has no responsibility to deliver a safe product is absurd and insulting. Every day Jeep and other sellers expect buyers to purchase off of 9 month old CoAs as if to say, we tested it once and that's enough for the next 15 batches.

Mind blowing to actually tell your customers that if they want a safe product to buy branded product. Such a statement destroys your entire industry. When all day long Jeep and other sellers talk about the quality of their product and then back away when they are discovered to deliver unusable merchandise is the pinnacle of arrogance.

Not Jeep nor any other seller gets to have it both ways.

My option.. It would be amazing if you went the extra step and paid for one vial at the min for ENDOTOXINS.. If you are already paying for a COA why not spend the extra $$$ and test one vial out of your (guessing) 10,000 batch? Im sure you are just the middle person and there is a vendor that fills your orders.

It doesn't matter if they are an integrated finisher or just a reseller.

At their size they'd be buying in bulk lots. Lets say they buy 1000 kits of T30 at a cost price of $50 each (if GB's can get $55 i'm sure Jeep can get it for $50).

So they're $50k into the T30. Slap their own sticker on it, send 3 vials to Jano for Mass, Purity, and Endo, and for $50,500 they now can sell $110k worth of T30 kits.

Hell, you can buy the gear and do your own Endo test for $20 a test to do a simple pass/fail clot test for 20EU or lower (you can make up your own fail level) at which point they can reject it from the factory. I could teach someone to do this test in 20 minutes.

That $500 saved and the re-use of batch numbers is what's killing them. They consistently liead about the batches, many many times they were asked and promised "same batch" even when the lids changed. They increased the blast radius of a bad batch by their own laziness.

If they offered a refund or even store credit, promised to do real batch numbers, and promised to endo test everything for sale, nobody would be complaining. It would just be "a bad batch" and people would move on.

And let’s just say that in countries like China, they don’t exactly take these matters lightly for the vendors.

I find it sad that there are people in any country that find the response everyone received as acceptable, regardless of legal framework. The fact the there are some people that hold themselves only to a very base standard such as a law instead of a higher moral standard is quite disappointing.
