My first dose of grey market

Well, I'm still alive after switching from the $125 per dose product (after a coupon!) to a less than $2 per dose product (which isn't even the lowest price available) . Reconstituting the vial was easy. Filling the cartridge for the pen I bought from all things peptides was a little more involved, but still easy enough. I am a bit surprised by how small of an amount is used for a dose compared to the "official" product though. It had me second guessing if the pen even worked because I didn't feel anything.

Only one thing bothers me at this point .. what do I tell my doctor if she asks me about how I am still on semaglutide? Do I tell her the whole truth or do I tell her that I am buying from a compounding pharmacy? Do I say nothing and imply that I am just dieting on my own? Opinions please.

Do you have a prescription for it from her? If you do, you can tell her that you've decided to pay out of pocket or you can tell her that you're getting it from a compound pharmacy. This is exactly what I told my doctor. I told him that I hoarded from a compounding pharmacy. Now, when he asks me if I still take tirzepitide, I still tell him that I have more in the fridge. Also, he still sends the prescription to my local pharmacy for Zepbound. As long as he does this, when I'm asked if I'm still taking Zepbound, I just say yes. Tirz is tirz. In your case it would be Ozempic or Wegovy and sema is sema. If the doctor writes you out a script, just say thanks.The doctor doesn't have to know if you'repaying oop or not. It all works. Just tell them you are using a compounding pharmacy, lot easier.

I told mine that I use a Compounding pharmacy and he is fine with it.

I wouldn't tell my doctor anything. My fear is that if he notes this, then the insurance could use it to not cover me for something. Better safe than sorry imo.

So glad my doc never tried to discouraging me from Compound. I think more Docs are down to earth when it comes to big pharma’s BS. However, I don’t think they would be so quick to encourage grey so I simply say I am using compound as well. To me it shouldn’t matter but to skip the “concerned speech” I’ll stick to that story.

I told my doctor "you don't want to know" and she left it at that regarding Rx and source. She then urged me to do weight-bearing exercises on the regular to mitigate muscle loss.
