Off-topic: Where to buy Tazorac (tazarotene)

I agree, but the current situation is not about tariff's, as I'm ok with paying a 20% tariff fee to get what I'm choosing to order.
The seizing and destroying of non-harmful goods is a new punitive and heavily funded activity that's not about safety. Tariffs were never mentioned in my FDA letter I received this week.

I think what gets confused in people's understanding (not you @keangkong I mean in general) is capitalism, crony capitalism and free market. What most people want to support is free market, they label it capitalism; but what we have operating today is the crony version.

Small businesses are hurt by the high tariff situation because America is never again going to manufacture the goods and materials needed for products that are supposedly "made in the US" or for trades that make their living. My husband is a commercial electrical contractor, and most everything is not made here, and the high tariffs put trades out of business. The extra costs and fees are passed down to the client and ultimately to the American consumers. Giant businesses and corporations are going to absorb the cost and pass it down as well.

Because the tariffs haven't deterred people's determination to take health into their own hands, the FDA beef up is the next level. One of the meds in my package was a name brand blood thinner for my brother in law. It's manufactured in Turkey and I believe also India. With his insurance it is $800 month! Less than 1/10th from India. Not a knock-off or dangerous non approved, exactly what would be received here. So the FDA is grabbing low-hanging fruit and congratulating themselves on a job well done.

I'm a lawyer in California. We have the Bar exam with the lowest Bar passage rate of the 50 states. We have that in order to keep the numbers of lawyers low enough to make lawyers wealthier. In one sense, I'm okay with laws designed to help me financially. At the same time, as a citizen, I think it's wrong to have regulations limiting entrance to a profession that effectively raise prices for consumers. I am not criticizing requiring lawyers to be licensed or to pass a Bar exam. I am criticizing making the requirements more difficult than necessary to protect consumers. The US is not the only country that comes up with regulations for that purpose. I will confess that there is an additional consideration that the US has to look at: Violations of patent laws. The US does have reason to enforce patent laws. Congress's authority to pass patent laws was included in the the US Constitution even prior to any amendments. Congress needs to do a better job of balancing the needs of consumers to get products versus the need to reward companies for researching and developing drugs. Unfortunately, we do have crony capitalism. When huge companies complain, the federal government tends to accommodate them. However, when a law negatively affects large numbers of small businesses, that gets less attention from government.

I agree with you on all the above.
I didn't know you were here-- I was a legal secretary for several years here in So Cal, years ago in my past life (not looking for a job, just wanted to mention it!)

I'm sure your vendor is Kawwal from DM. He also offered to re ship mine through Dubai (for 50% plus I still pay shipping). However talking with a respected member here who's also a customer-- Dubai takes a very long time, and I'm not convinced it'll go any easier.

One thing I DID talk with Kawwal about is that he has GOT to change his packaging and labeling. Putting it in Christmas wrap is not fooling anyone, and makes it stand out and get grabbed, opposite of discreet packaging. Coupled with the customs label, listing contents as "HEALTHCARE Products" is guaranteeing confiscation. If I do a re-ship with him, he said he'll label 'beauty products' and no gift wrap.

Please @karib574 keep us updated on the progress of your order!
By the way, when did you place the order?
I guess I'll find out how it goes via Dubai. It's already been a week longer than previous orders with him. I placed the order September 8 (the same day I placed my order with SSA 🤞🙄). He didn't provide the tracking number until September 13, which went live online yesterday.

I hope he took your suggestions to heart when he shipped my order. I mentioned I was worried about seizure when he gave me the tracking number. He said "Don't worry, all will be good." 🤷‍♀️

50% off but you run the risk of seizure again? Ugh!

Well, I have to say, I'm starting to feel like Demi Moore in The Substance right now. My tretinoin and Taz order being seized has made me willing to crawl under any weird little door to get to my fount of youth.
I've not been that serious about skincare in the past, but my Vain Era has kicked in hard, and tretinoin has been THE magical elixir. And now I'm panicked because I've got half a tube left, and nothing on the horizon.
Meanwhile, some federal agent out there is slathering on my cream.

Hey, that's what I ordered from Kawwal. If mine isn't seized, I can send you one. 😏

Medsmex is shipping🙂 They have tret but no taz.

Thanks. I did eventually order from PCT 24X7, a Meso sponsor. They were ridiculously cheap.

I ordered tretinoin instead of tazarotene because I realized tazarotene costs much more and also PCT 24X7 did not have anything listed in terms of tazarotene.

I may sound like a shill. I am kind of a shill. (No, I'm not getting paid for anything I say here.) Granted nothing has yet arrived.

I did have to tack on extra 20% for tariffs. However, PCT says they have since stopped doing that due to a change in US tariff policy regarding pharmaceuticals. However, PCT is now charging an $2 per order on shipping due to difficulties in shipping directly from India to the US. I was stuck with the 20% tariff based upon the cost of the medicines purchased. I also had to pay $25 for shipping to the US. That shipping fee included several containers of tretinoin and several pills. PCT 24 X 7 did send me two tracking numbers. When I emailed PCT 24X7 to why they sent two tracking, they told me that they had made a mistake and had send the order twice. They then said not to worry about it and to keep both packages since it was their mistake. One of the orders shows that it has been sent to the US. My good feelings about PCT 24X7 are based upon their low prices; the fact that they are shipping; and the number of people who love the place on Meso. Again nothing has actually arrived yet.

I am not an experienced buyer of pharmaceutical products from outside the US. This is my first purchase of drugs other than "research peptides" from outside the US.

Thanks for the information there. If I end up not being able to get taz anymore, I'll definitely try this resource, it is a lot cheaper than inhousepharmacy and ADC.

I've been buying European sunscreen for 20 years from France. this stuff is legal in the entire European Union, Australia, NZ, CN, Ireland, but have not been approved in the US.

The FDA has not approved any new UV filters since 1999. All of these other countries are saving lives (and preventing wrinkles in their old folks), but the US will not approve any new UV ingredients. Four tubes of my Bioderma Sunscreen were seized and destroyed three weeks ago. They were manufactured in France. France.

If I end up having to fly overseas to get sunscreen, I will. It is far superior to what we have in the USA. Apparently, the USA sees France as a third world country incapable of product testing and with unsanitary production methods.

Luckily, my ex-husband is British and we are on good enough terms that he will happily allow me to have packages delivered to his house and then will send them on to me. It also helps that he hates the United States.

For the time being I see a way of continuing to get Taz from India, tox from Korea, and sunscreen from France. I've got three years' worth of peptides in my freezer, but this stinks. There are a lot of people who are depending on overseas meds and peps and just cannot afford to get them in the United States.

I wonder if some of our UK and European members have ever thought about becoming re-shippers for us overprotected, harassed Americans?

By the way, I have bought 4 tubes of Bioderma a year since 2005, and never once had a package seized until a few weeks ago.
Bioderma is lovely stuff. Bastards are probably keeping it for themselves.

May I message you? I have a suggestion, if you are on Discord.

Another pro for this vendor-- shipping is a lot less than that of our other Ind vendor (I've paid $38 before). I'm watching to see if it gets to you and I may order from him.

Just in case you want to order it in the future, he does have Tazarotene on this list (@pavlovs too) it's item #1787 (tazret)

Oh wow, thanks a lot! I really like taz better than tret, it doesn't cause any dryness and I can use it under my eyes. Tret did serve me well for twenty years, though🙂 I'd still use it in a heartbeat if I can't find taz.

Just for the future if there’s something you want that they don’t have listed, you can ask and they can possibly get it for you. He used to have Taz, but it was a lot more than ADC. Idk if he price matches or not, some Indian vendors do.
