Psoriasis and the Oral Peptide Icotrokinra

Hello everyone I'd like to bring your attention to this new peptide that has gone under radar. Icotrokinra is a first-in-class oral peptide that precisely targets and blocks the IL-23 receptor. It binds to the IL-23 receptor, which effectively inhibits the IL-23 pathway and the downstream signaling that drives inflammation in conditions like plaque psoriasis and ulcerative colitis.

They have submitted for FDA approval in July 2025 and it's currently pending.

I found a user on Reddit who was part of the trial and here's his results

This would also work as an injectable. The oral bioavailability is roughly 0.1–0.3% so the 200mg dosage they use you're only absorbing ~0.5 mg systematically. You could inject 0.5mg per day and get the same results bringing cost way down. Maybe one day this will be a reality..

But wouldn't we need vials instead of tabs for this? Or can it be done another way?
