PTSD Access

FWIW, doing the work to join that community was completely worth the effort. A great basic education that was largely self directed to topics that interest you most. You won't regret it.
It’s absolutely ridiculous. Three tests and a bunch of bullshit. Nah

It actually is extremely basic if you have any medical background. I just never finished because it felt pretentious.
Ah, you hit the nail on the head. I was floundering to find the exact word, but that's it.
I think anyone who thinks red tape will keep out bad actors is just fooling themselves. It just makes them feel better, about the risk, about themselves. We don't know these people, really. How much can you really trust strangers? Even irl friends you've known for years will "surprise" you.

That's why I only trust my friends on the internet. They'd NEVER lie to me.

I don't think the "red tape" is to keep out bad actors. It's to make sure that the people in the server have a certain level of knowledge to keep the noob questions to a minimum. It also filters people to only those that really want to be there. I find it was worth the effort to join but I love the data, especially on the weird tests like freeze/thaw, carts/vials, heat tests, reconstituted degradation testing etc. Plus, if you buy from mainstream vendors it is a low cost way to get your peps tested.

This server is adding a ton of value to our community, as most test results are made public after 30 days.

This is it. The entire sample selection and testing process is set up to mitigate issues with bad actors. The barriers to entry serve to ensure the community is engaged and isn't full of freeloaders. If you want a low barrier to entry there are other testing servers you can join. They suck, guess why.

It's also not a rule that was even followed in the story. If anyone takes the rule literally they wouldn't be in the club in the first place. "Don't talk about fight club" was always meant to be tongue in cheek.

THANK YOU for voicing the thought that I've had every time popular culture has referenced The First Rule 😂

Not that I haven't enjoyed every reference anyway :)

I went through the entire process before P changed their website. Was down to two orientation videos but paused. The reason I didn’t continue was you are required to participate from time to time and you donate via crypto. Since I made the decision to not use crypto then it was pointless for me to join.

Ever read the book?

I have similar complaints about the fight club movie as I do about how they butchered I Am Legend.

They have much more payment flexibility now. I don't pay with crypto but I am purposely not documenting how you can pay. If you can pay the pump when you put gas in your car you have what is necessary to pay for a test.

That’s good to know. All my “homework” was probably lost when they transitioned.😂
