This is accurate and on purpose for all the reasons @exploitedworkerbee outlined in this thread. I'm pretty active on that server, and I know the folks with invite capabilities were selected because they are very engaged in the gray peptide space and it's testing, and have been for a while.
Call it gate keeping all you want, because it pretty much is. And that's the point.

The dumb part is its an extremely open gate. More like a turnstyle. People just aren't willing to do even the most basic steps.

Lurking is both educational and entertaining.

I've been burned in past other group buy and testing efforts. People may say, "Oh yeah, testing is good!" And may pay money for testing. But when it came time to actually give up a vial and get the thing done... it was a slow walking foot dragging no go. Then the drama. Smh.

Testing isn't hard and with the cost of grey vs. cost of brand, it isn't that expensive.

The purpose of testing is safety. What price are you willing to put on your life and ability to live it? These are chemicals you are injecting into your body. You could die from it. You could... you get it.

A group testing effort where people actually do what they say they will do sounds like heaven.

If it's a group that actually functions and does what it says It will, I'd really like to have an invite.

Exactly why I keep going with the vendor everyone hates, it's more expensive but it's tested. PGB sounds promising to me, I have the link open in another tab I need to remember to use to join. I've watched people try to arrange third party testing and it seems to be a nightmare. Testing is important to me but I don't want to foot the entire cost myself unless I'm buying more than one kit at a time. Why am I going to learn crypto then have to search out other people who got the same batch as me who will actually follow through? I've joined a bunch of discord servers, people are begging for volunteers to send a vial, then getting them to actually drop them off, etc etc. No wonder everyone complains about group buys, even the ones who love them, they take forever and the poor fucking organizers. Then to have to get a vendor to follow through if something IS wrong.... I truly feel bad for the people who arrange it all. I'd be so stressed.

FWIW, doing the work to join that community was completely worth the effort. A great basic education that was largely self directed to topics that interest you most. You won't regret it.

I don't think the "red tape" is to keep out bad actors. It's to make sure that the people in the server have a certain level of knowledge to keep the noob questions to a minimum. It also filters people to only those that really want to be there. I find it was worth the effort to join but I love the data, especially on the weird tests like freeze/thaw, carts/vials, heat tests, reconstituted degradation testing etc. Plus, if you buy from mainstream vendors it is a low cost way to get your peps tested.

This server is adding a ton of value to our community, as most test results are made public after 30 days.

This is it. The entire sample selection and testing process is set up to mitigate issues with bad actors. The barriers to entry serve to ensure the community is engaged and isn't full of freeloaders. If you want a low barrier to entry there are other testing servers you can join. They suck, guess why.

They have much more payment flexibility now. I don't pay with crypto but I am purposely not documenting how you can pay. If you can pay the pump when you put gas in your car you have what is necessary to pay for a test.

I have similar complaints about the fight club movie as I do about how they butchered I Am Legend.

Though I've read neither book, I fully trust your negative opinions on their translations to film! I know you are an avid reader with a critical eye. And I haven't liked most film adaptations of novels I have loved in the past. (I did love the movie The Shining — though it did not come close to reflecting the complexities and expanse of the book, I felt it shone on its own merits.)

PS And I must admit, I very much enjoyed and respect both the Fight Club and I Am Legend movies. Sometimes it pays not to have read the novels 🙂)

For I Am Legend, they legitimately changed a very unique and nuanced story and turned it into a very basic Hollywood monster story; spoilers for a book from the 50's: The 'vampires' are evolving essentially into a new species. They can go out in the sun, they aren't crazy anymore. They're just different. They've formed their own civilization, and to them, he's the monster murdering them to experiment on them for a 'cure' they don't feel they need. He is the Legend: the bedtime Boogeyman they'll tell their children about for centuries.

They at least had a decent ending in the movie- the vampires rescue the female he's been experimenting on and carry her away, and he realizes they aren't monsters. It didn't do well with test audiences, so they changed it to just another big bomb scene.

I've got zero desire to be a part of it because my level of risk tolerance to laziness ratio has meant I've never gone and tested any of the substances I've ever gotten from drug dealers over the past decades of my life, plus it all sounds quite pretentious to me, but it's their club and they can run it however they want. I'll appreciate them existing and what they do for the community and continue injecting my completely untested ASC peptides while figuring either they all predate the 0 peptide issue or the placebo effect is working well enough for me to not to care

True. I never questioned my dealer when he said the weed was good shit, that the pens were 97% pure, or that each piece of the chocolate bar had Xmg THC. We're being pretty picky for the black market.
