Ah, you hit the nail on the head. I was floundering to find the exact word, but that's it.
I think anyone who thinks red tape will keep out bad actors is just fooling themselves. It just makes them feel better, about the risk, about themselves. We don't know these people, really. How much can you really trust strangers? Even irl friends you've known for years will "surprise" you.

I don't think the "red tape" is to keep out bad actors. It's to make sure that the people in the server have a certain level of knowledge to keep the noob questions to a minimum. It also filters people to only those that really want to be there. I find it was worth the effort to join but I love the data, especially on the weird tests like freeze/thaw, carts/vials, heat tests, reconstituted degradation testing etc. Plus, if you buy from mainstream vendors it is a low cost way to get your peps tested.
This server is adding a ton of value to our community, as most test results are made public after 30 days.

IRL yes. A few that I've met over the past 20 years and know (over the internet), I would trust. So, agree!
This is it. The entire sample selection and testing process is set up to mitigate issues with bad actors. The barriers to entry serve to ensure the community is engaged and isn't full of freeloaders. If you want a low barrier to entry there are other testing servers you can join. They suck, guess why.

I went through the entire process before P changed their website. Was down to two orientation videos but paused. The reason I didn’t continue was you are required to participate from time to time and you donate via crypto. Since I made the decision to not use crypto then it was pointless for me to join.

They have much more payment flexibility now. I don't pay with crypto but I am purposely not documenting how you can pay. If you can pay the pump when you put gas in your car you have what is necessary to pay for a test.

Though I've read neither book, I fully trust your negative opinions on their translations to film! I know you are an avid reader with a critical eye. And I haven't liked most film adaptations of novels I have loved in the past. (I did love the movie The Shining — though it did not come close to reflecting the complexities and expanse of the book, I felt it shone on its own merits.)
PS And I must admit, I very much enjoyed and respect both the Fight Club and I Am Legend movies. Sometimes it pays not to have read the novels

For I Am Legend, they legitimately changed a very unique and nuanced story and turned it into a very basic Hollywood monster story; spoilers for a book from the 50's: The 'vampires' are evolving essentially into a new species. They can go out in the sun, they aren't crazy anymore. They're just different. They've formed their own civilization, and to them, he's the monster murdering them to experiment on them for a 'cure' they don't feel they need. They at least had a decent ending in the movie- the vampires rescue the female he's been experimenting on and carry her away, and he realizes they aren't monsters. It didn't do well with test audiences, so they changed it to just another big bomb scene.
I'm glad the group exists. I've got zero desire to be a part of it because my level of risk tolerance to laziness ratio has meant I've never gone and tested any of the substances I've ever gotten from drug dealers over the past decades of my life, plus it all sounds quite pretentious to me, but it's their club and they can run it however they want. I'll appreciate them existing and what they do for the community and continue injecting my completely untested ASC peptides while figuring either they all predate the 0 peptide issue or the placebo effect is working well enough for me to not to care
