Reta - No Effect

Hello,

I purchased Retatrutide and am currently going into my fifth week. I started at what’s considered the higher end of dosing and have gradually increased from there. My dosing schedule is listed below. So far, I’m honestly not feeling much of a response. I’m still able to eat normally, though I have noticed that my cravings are mostly gone and it’s been easier to eat clean. I do feel slightly fuller at times, but that’s about it. My girlfriend is following the same plan, and she has already lost 23 pounds, which makes me wonder if I might just be a non-responder. I’m feeling a bit underwhelmed and curious if anyone else has had a slower response or noticed that it took longer for things to really kick in.

Dosing schedule:
  • Week 1: 2 mg
  • Week 2: 3 mg
  • Week 3: 3 mg
  • Week 4: 3 mg
  • Week 5: 4 mg

It takes 4 weeks for Reta to reach therapeutic levels. You're also titrating up very quickly. Typical protocols show 4 weeks at each increment, also starting at 2 mg, but sometimes lower. If you're already at 4mg and tolerating any sides, I would suggest staying there for 4 weeks and then reassessing. Have you moved from Sema or Tirz to Reta? This can also cause slow response until you reach a higher dosage.

Thanks for the reply! I haven’t done Sema or Tirz before—this is my first GLP-1. I realize I probably moved up a bit quickly, but I plan to stay at this dose now like you suggested for the next four weeks and then reassess. It’s helpful to know it takes around four weeks to reach therapeutic levels; I think all the social media hype made it seem a lot stronger and faster-acting than it really is. I also forgot to mention that I’m on TRT, in case that plays any role with Reta. Interestingly, my girlfriend felt the effects almost immediately in the first week—so it must be doing something 😆
 
i saw little to no effects until the max dose, i'd recommend to just keep titrating up if you aren't getting troublesome side effects (maybe a little more slowly) and only give up on it if you aren't seeing meaningful effects after more than a month on the max dose, then probably consider tirz

It's possible but I haven't used TRT, so maybe someone else could provide insight there.

I do know you have to give it time to work it's magic. Everyone is different and we have different levels of response. For me, it was also the first few days, but you never really know until you start. Also, eating at a deficit, getting regular exercise and sleep habits are major factors in the outcome as well.
 
Did you do any body scans beforehand? Are you do anything resistance training to go with it?

Are you do anything resistance training to go with it? - Yes, I have been working out 5X a week for years now. My current split is Push, Pull, Leg, Rest, Upper, Lower, Rest - attempting to hit each muscle twice a week. I could probably improve on my cardio lol.

Thanks for the information! Training is not a problem.. that's the easy part for me. My sleeping could probably improve though. My deficit has been better though.
 
Body scans, rigorous testing, and an aggressive training regimen are all really important. Good luck!
 
Reta was my first GLP and, like you, I haven’t felt much at either 2 mg or 4mg. It was 6mg where I definitely started seeing and feeling the effects. Stick to the schedule, stay at 4mg for a month and then, if you still don’t “feel it”, move up to 6mg.
Based on your better self control with cravings, Reta seems to be working for you, and it will work even more at the higher doses (when you finally get there), but please don’t rush the process 🙂

Are you both using from the same vial? Or in other words, do you trust your juice?

Yes, we have gone through the first vial together. We just started a new vial, but I haven't taken the new one yet. I will soon.
 
I'm with the above 2 , did you have testing or has your batch been tested somewhere else? Not that I've seen much 0% reta (if any). But 5 weeks with nothing at those levels having never taken a glp before?? That seems odd.

Even placebo would be losing weight. Literally injecting saline.

So lets again go to the basics of ; How are you tracking your calories? Are you tracking your calories? Not that its 100% necessary but if you are wondering why you aren't losing weight , generally this is a good place to start.
 
I'm not a good responder. Until I get to the higher end of dosing I get nothing .... reta nothing till I hit 8mg and lots of folks agree the appetitite suppression is lacking so I stack with 1.5 mg sema that absolutely helps..... the calorie counters too ... u think you had a turkey Sammie on low cal, high grain bread all day and forgot the 200 calorie slim Jim and 340 calorie powerade, or the half roll of wild cherry lifesavers, another 30 grams of sugar.... add to that 800 calories for a small dinner plate. Not bad but if ur like me and do 3oz of bourbon and 2 modelo negra....that's another 700 calories. Hang in there buddy. Also if you're only 40lbs overweight your likely not gonna lose the same as someone 150lbs overweight.

I wouldn't add cardio if you're trying to add muscle or strength. Especially if you're not getting your protein intake on daily basis, which I don't know if you are or not.
