You should do what makes sense in your context. .5mg would have made no sense for someone like me who needed to lose 60lbs just to get out of obese range. I've lost 35 of those 60lbs, but started on 2mg and titrated up to now being on 6mg (and I am comfortably, consistently losing at 6mg for now). For me it is a life saving drug, and I'm following the protocol set by the E.L. in their trials. My brother, who also is heavy, started at 1mg, and he said it was a waste of time for him, and he should have started at 2mg.

However, from my discussions with people, for those who are less overweight, they don't seem to need as much to gain a benefit. Your weight does not put you in the obese category, just mildly overweight. I see no reason why would shouldn't start at .5mg and just see where it takes you. You may find it a waste of time, or it might just enough to start you on your journey.

No, that's best to start slow. Let your body build up to it. You're really going to like it.

That first round of The $89, sold 3,000 kits in 12 minutes and closed. I feel better with the 2 kits of R30 GB for $110/kit from WW. It just opened yesterday, and closes 7/1. I grabbed two like the addict I am.

It's a better safe than sorry approach. I actually wish I went small starting out. I was stupid about it going 5mg the first week (split up over a few days, but still). I had this idea that I needed to get to max dose asap. But that's not really how it works. Many don't ever need to get to max dose.

😂 I get it, totally. My first buy was r6 from nexaph and the recent r60 gb was cheaper than this! So it's like a kid in a candy store. So I'm kind of glad the one today sold out so quickly. Gives me time to think. And yea, I like that the WW is open a good while and still very cheap.

I get it. I didn't even look at that. We started 2mg, and played the normal titration deal. Starting 9mg Sunday. I like Melody at WW.

I agree with a slow titration. Why not be prudent?
Sorry to those who see me repeating this every week, but some people are highly sensitive to new meds.
Who needs the drama of being stuck at home for a few days with uncontrollable diarrhea, or painful constipation?

I started at .5mg and it shut me down for a week. Things eased and I can eat and enjoy but healthier choices are easy blah blah, it’s been said before elsewhere. 5’7” 210 back in end of Jan beginning of Feb. I am up to 1.25mg and down to 185. I likely could’ve gone up a bit quicker and perhaps be on a slightly higher dose but I’m happy with the results. I’d like to get another 5 to 10lbs off and be below 15%bf. I’m not in a rush.

There is one potential problem I see from starting at such low doses. There is a very good chance that the effects seen at 0.5mg or so, are just going to be placebo effects, rather than actual effects of the drug, so it might be an issue if people get effects or side effects from placebo effects, that are completely different to those once the dose goes up, which is going to get confusing and hard to interpret.
