You should do what makes sense in your context. .5mg would have made no sense for someone like me who needed to lose 60lbs just to get out of obese range. I've lost 35 of those 60lbs, but started on 2mg and titrated up to now being on 6mg (and I am comfortably, consistently losing at 6mg for now). For me it is a life saving drug, and I'm following the protocol set by the E.L. in their trials. My brother, who also is heavy, started at 1mg, and he said it was a waste of time for him, and he should have started at 2mg.

However, from my discussions with people, for those who are less overweight, they don't seem to need as much to gain a benefit. Your weight does not put you in the obese category, just mildly overweight. I see no reason why would shouldn't start at .5mg and just see where it takes you. You may find it a waste of time, or it might just enough to start you on your journey.

No, that's best to start slow. Let your body build up to it. You're really going to like it.
